Waffle House

I visited this location around 11AM on a Sunday and our sever was a middle-age Caucasian man with a raspy voice. He was very professional and attentive. He took our order right away and so our food was out in no time. This is the service everyone should exemplify at Waffle House. I recommend the cheesesteak melt with an over hard egg, at lettuce tomato and onion!

I ordered a sandwich and was given hash browns with it, which I don't like. I just assumed it came with hash browns until we got the bill and my meal was $3 more than expected. I had pointed at the sandwich on the menu as I ordered and the server looked at what I was pointing at. The kids' drinks were also charged at $2.50 even though the menu said $1.00. I did not make an issue of the wrong meal being incorrect, but asked for the kid drinks to be changed. The server replied that she had always charged full drink price for kids, but she changed it for us. The food was OK, the whole thing was nostalgic for me since we used to go to waffle house in college. It's been 15 years since I ate at one, but the all star meal used to be $5 and change. It now costs over $10. For a family of 4, it cost us over $40 with tip to eat here. My husband was not impressed with food or service or price and said never again. My kids liked the food and seeing the kitchen. I had stomach issues from the greasiness.
