El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant

Food was amazing! We all loved every bit of it. The waitress wasn't the greatest though. She was friendly but was not a very good waitress. Other people brought our food, refilled our drinks, brought extra napkins and brought our check. The other employees that helped us out were great and funny though. Will definitely be returning!

Best el vaquero I have had in ten years. Second time at this location and now will always come to this restaurant. Server smiled and she brought chips and drinks right on time every time. Best service in a restaurant I have had in three months. Excellent food. Not over cooked and not under cooked. Sauces on table. No need to ask for my Favorite habenejro red. All around great!! 16 miles from my home but three times better than Riverside (3 miles from my home) El Vaquero!!

This is one of my routine mexican lunch places during work hours, whenever i am in the "la siesta" mood :P . Anyhow coming to the review, they offer a wide array of items in their menu, which sometimes could be overwhelming for new customers to choose from. But trust me more the merrier works in this place, as almost everything i have tried has never disappointed me. They make great margaritas and i think they have specials everyday on food and drinks. Of course Chase employees get discount here as well. We tried the fajitas Vallarta, fried ice cream, Chimichanga Supreme and lastly Enchiladas. Fried ice cream did not really live up to my expectations, so i will discount that next time i go here. However other things ordered were tasteful and which we all enjoyed eating. You might wonder i keep saying "all" how many could it be? So yes, we were four including me. I still have many things to try on, which i will keep you posted here.

My food which was a chicken salad was good. Service was good. I'm confused about their air conditioning since they also have some big fans turned on high. The ceiling and rest of the interior is not helpful for noise control. So it is very noisy every time I'm inside. We had a party of 6 at a rectangular table and the folks on the ends could not hear each other. We went for my niece's birthday which was why I ate here.

Thank you Vaqero Polaris for such amazing service every visit in. Charley, no matter what is going on at the restaurant, you manage guests, questions and concerns very professionally. Visiting all the tables to make sure everything is up to standards. I am a very picky eater, and there is never a doubt they come up with something different from the menu to accomidatd my taste. The food always comes out hot and ready to eat, and always tastes great. Hopefully these reviews get passed on to the GM and also his staff because they all are amazing! Especially Manny :) Thank you all!

They FINALLY got it right. I have tried this location numerous times & have had horrible service & food each time to the point my husband & I gave up on the place all together. A friend wanted to go so I agreed for her & gave it another try. The waitress (a pretty, sweet, Hispanic girl w/very long dark hair. I didn't get her name) took care of us & she was fantastic! I never had to ask for anything including drinks, chips or tortillas (tortillas r the part they always forget). I was able to enjoy my time w/my friend & not have to deal w/food or drink issues. I was pleasantly surprised. I will cautiously give this location another try.

Decent Mexican joint. The employees here were awesome. I requested the hottest sauce they have from our server and the cook in the back made me a batch from scratch! The servings are large and the margaritas are fairly strong. I would give it 4 stars as the presentation I didn't feel was very strong but the excellent staff mir e than made up for it. Would definately return.
