Clearview Barbecue

Absolutely my favorite BBQ in town. This place is a staple in town. Cash only. The sweat tea is amazing. The BBQ is better. You won't find a better BBQ sandwich for the price in town, they're not skimpy with the meat, slaw, pickle and sauce. Absolutely a must try if you've never been. Local favorite.

I was first introduce to Clearview BBQ in 2014. The food, delicious. The chip sandwiches were .99 cent and the service back then was hoppin. On May 21, 2022. The sandwich is now $1.49 and the service is " slow as molasses". Or slower!!!!!. It took thirty (30) minutes to receive a carry out order of two sandwiches and a Cole slaw. I left the restaurant twice and still my order wasn't ready. Clearview, Your food is delicious but stop being cheap and get another "Sandwich Press." You need two. No one should have to wait 30 minutes for a carry out.

I have never experienced a bbq place so bad before. I don’t even think this was bbq. Taste like there were pieces of rubber in the meat. There was no smoked flavor at all. No sweet bbq sauce which is ok if any of the other bbq sauces were good, but they weren’t. Every one of us just threw our plates away and left. A waste of $30.

I love Clearview for their BBQ flavor and their reasonable prices. I am disappointed that they have increased the price of their famous .99 cent chipped sandwich by almost 40% in less than 2 years. Come on now! The prices of food has not gone up "40%." Just saying. This will unfortunately drive some business elsewhere so don't go getting greedy and messing up a good thing. This is still a cash and check only establishment. Make sure you have more than $1.50 for the chipped sandwich.

They have the best authentic bbq prices anywhere. Less than $2 for a bbq sandwich is unheard of in Atlanta; try $6. The customer service was very good. The spot could use some serious renovations. The customer service gets 5 stars, the bbq gets 4 stars, the price for a sandwich gets 5 stars (even though I miss the .99 price) and the dining area gets 1 star. (Actually, half a star). I just get my food to go.

Customer service is horrible. Lady that took my order was extremely rude. You’d think they would tell you over the phone that they do not accept cards only cash but nope. Thank god I read the reviews. I’ve had their BBQ before and it was good, but as I said, they should work on their customer service skills.

I forgot how much I love their bbq. My wife got us some sandwiches and a big order of chopped to bring to her parents. We had the sandwiches for lunch. It blows the bbq in Lagrange out of the water. We are been joking about being addicted to the chipped sandwiches all weekend. My wife who normally eats super slow eat both of hers on the way home. I am so glad to rediscover this lost gem.
