Le Chocoholic has a nice selection of high quality chocolate. A great place to go with some friends to hang out and talk with some good dessert.

Stopped in for a couple of cocktails. Open air seating was great for people watching. Cocktails were phenomenal. I enjoyed the pink orchid and my husband had a French press. Will be back and will be sure to get some if the delicious-looking chocolates from the case.

The name says it all! Stopped in last night after friends and Short North residents raved about their selection and staff. After dinner and a short walk, chocolate and a glass of wine seemed like a great way to end the evening. The cafe windows were open letting the urban feel fill the space, but still allowing separation from the hustle and bustle of Short North night life. At the suggestion of the staff, I tried a handful of house made items - my favorites being: tasty turtle truffle, pb&j truffle and oyo honey vanilla truffles -- amazing! I had a glass of tortoise creek Cabernet which couldn't have paired better. Friendly staff, welcome space, great selection, taste was even better than I expected, this will be a regular stop for me!!!

Expensive (and delicious). The title says it all. you will pay for these treats, but they are special. not your average chocolate/desserts.

its a nice place right in short north near "the cap" so parking is almost nonexistent. staff were not friendly at all and bordered on rude. the only thing that would bring me back are the quality of their sweets.

Not sure how people can vote "Don't Like" for this place.. I'm really confused why this doesn't have a better rating, unless people don't like chocolate and seek out to destroy it. Anyway, Le Chocoholique offers a great staff who will help you decide on the different types of chocolates you may want to purchase. There must have been, literally, 150-200 different types of chocolates, and damn near every one of them sounded great. Some of them are more expensive than others, but you have to remember this is not a mars bar at your local grocery store. These are artisan chocolates; hand painted and delicately crafted with flavor combinations you may not see anywhere else, such as the blue cheese truffle (which was delectable). We got several to go and a hot chocolate and it set us back about $20, but we did get quite a few and we felt like we got our money's worth. I imagine some people are voting "do not like" b/c of the prices, but like I said, this is upscale chocolate, and better than anything else I have had. I especially recommend any of the honey chocolates. We will be back here.

Wish I worked there...... They have a very nice interior. Parking can be difficult. Love their iced mocha! It was so much better than Starbucks. They offer an immense selection of flavored chocolates including all sorts of fruit, spicy and alcohol spiked varieties. I do wish their spicy chocolates were a bit hotter. I've been in multiple times for myself but it's a great place to buy several pieces as a gift.

The martinis were awesome! A bit pricey ~$12 outside happy hour, $6-7 during, but the best martinis I've ever had. Highly recommend the smores. The desserts are tasty and rich. Chocolates are unique and original, ~ $1.50-2.0/each. Not all of them are as good as they sound though so choose wisely. Quaint and cute place to chill. Only downside is somewhat slow service.

The chocolates were so delicious, and gorgeous! I wish I had more time to try one of the more fancy options/drinks. Great place to get a gift, just to treat yourself, or for a little date. The liquor-filled truffles are a lot of fun. My selections were packaged up in a nice little box with a ribbon tied around it expertly by the employee.

I've only been here a couple times and each time it was for one of their happy hour cocktails. The first time was a year or so ago, and I had an amazing Tom Collins. Then yesterday I returned and got their Smores cocktail. So GOOOD! It's a very classy presentation too. Flame roasted marshmallow rim on the glass with a delicious chocolate alcoholic drink that involves marshmallow flavored vodka. The presentation is beautiful. He shakes it with ice, then pours it into the glass right at your table. A+! I have been here before on a Sat morning and got a coffee of some sort. But the fact that I have no clear memory for it suggests that it was nothing remarkable - bad or good. Decor-wise, it's really cute inside and has a nice view of Poplar Park, which particularly nice during the Christmas season because it looks right upon the Short North Christmas tree. I will say the cocktails here are not cheap. Generally cost $10 or $11. But during happy hour they are all $6! Happy hour runs 3 - 7 pm. Of course, it is a chocolate shop, and so they sell lots of pretty looking chocolates, but I've never tried them. Nor have I really looked at their pricing, but my impression is that they are expensive.

Food: 4 Decor: 4 Service: 3 I dropped by here around 11am on a weekday. The place was empty, but the cabinets were full of chocolates. According to the guy there, the most popular ones are the Velvet Elvis, seasonal ones, and caramels. I opted for the Velvet Elvis, and it was indeed pretty good (45% cacao deep milk chocolate with peanut butter, bananas, and bacon = yum). Definitely a good place to drop by for a special treat/gift, and their selections are amazing.

Good atmosphere, although it sometimes feels a little bit inauthentic. The cakes are really great!... although the chocolates are just ok in my opinion. Coffee drinks are just ok. The customer service is a little rough but I feel they are finally working on it. Gets four stars mainly for the cakes.

We stopped in for coffee and maybe a snack. Our Myan mocha and chocolate cake were both amazing. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and knowledgeable. A great experience all around.

Pricy, but very good. Chill atmosphere or good to go. Much better lattes and mochas than the nearby convention center.

Elegant decor, a great place to relax while enjoying truly unique liquor based chocolates a mixed cocktail or a truly fantastic coffee, while taking in the sights of busy traffic in the heart of Short North just steps away from the convention center. My recommendation is the frozen salted Carmel late and a crown royal chocolate!

This is one of my favorite places in the entire city for a "second stop" after dinner, a gallery visit, theatre or any other event. It's the perfect sophisticated setting to chat & chill with friends over wine, cocktails or coffee--and what more in life does one need? Oh! Yes, chocolate. And they have exquisite options of that too. The location is ideal: right at the "beginning" of the Short North proper, as you cross over the Cap. In other words, in the middle of all the action!
