The food was so wonderful (I recommend the bbq potato with the Bama sauce and the mac-n-cheese sandwich). But the staff really makes this place. We had the besr waitress. We will definitely be back in 2 years when Tennessee plays in Missouri again.

We had an early dinner to celebrate a birthday. The food was excellent. Melt in your mouth burnt ends! Paula (our server) was great. The look on my aunt's face was priceless when everyone sang Happy Birthday. Thank you again!!

A little off the path, we stopped for lunch on Super Bowl Sunday. I’d call it rustic kitchy. The wooden menus were fun and the whole place had a casual friendly vibe. We ordered a 1/2 order of bbq nachos as our appetizer. It came in a bowl and was a little hard to eat. The cheese was unmelted but it was tasty. The burnt ends we chose as the meat topper were cut into bite sized chunks. Our food arrived fairly fast and as you can see, the brisket sandwich was layered with fat slabs of meat. I ordered the pulled pork and it was a large portion of moist meat. The meat was not heavily smoked and there was a variety of sauces to choose from. Service was fast and friendly.

Their new wooden menus give a spark to their delicious selections. Their burnt ends are always my favorite. Couldn't compare them to any Missouri BBQ iv had in a very long time. Amazing smokey bark and juicy tender meat. And the ribs are served dry but they are extremely moist and fall right off the bone, and they have 4 sauce selections not including their Alabama White Sauce!!!

Just about everything I have gotten here has been good. Really like the turkey. Usually see the owners hanging around, they always ask how the food is.

Great burgers, mediocre burnt ends.. The "Texas Burger", a half-pound appetite satisfier 50/50 mix of beef & chorizo is absolutely splendid! On the other hand, the burnt ends definitely don't live up to Kansas City standards & will probably disappoint anyone familiar with what's available there. Just ok, but somewhat bland and expensive for what you get. I'll still give other items on the BBQ menu a chance since I honestly haven't found good burnt ends outside of Kansas City.

Had great meal, very good service. Burnt Ends, pulled pork. Grilled veggies were perfect, Mac n cheese for sides. Sweet sauce only one tried. Worth trying this place out. You can tell the owners and servers care about their restaurant!

Surprisingly Tasty BBQ with Equally Friendly Service. As part of my annual BBQ tour through Missouri, a friend recommended we try COMO Smoke and Fire for a huge takeout order as we headed to another friends for dinner. I wanted to bring a big 'ole bag of 'cue as a surprise for everyone. I ended up the hero only because COMO S&F came through with superb food, across the board. We wanted a couple of pounds of brisket, some pulled pork and two racks of ribs, along with the requisite vinegar slaw and bacon potato salad. These folks nailed it! The brisket was surprisingly lean and thickly cut, but still beautifully smoked, ringed and barked. There was almost a roast beef quality to the meat that proved very popular among my friends and me as we gnawed on the leftovers for days. It even tasted great plain, with just some mayo, in a cold sandwich the next day. I suspect the smoke wood is hickory, given the meats bold intensity and lingering flavors. The pulled pork was equally impressive, and surprisingly, the star of the meat trio. With a brothy, deeply rich, balanced fat, and a gentle, mild smoke, the pork went very well with the peppery and tangy Carolina-styled sauce. That stuff is legendary and needs to be even more prominently highlighted as a unique signature item on their BBQ sauce menu. Finally, the ribs look off-putting in that they are deeply browned, if not almost blackened in color from the very long smoke they endure. Don't be discouraged by their appearance because the taste is simply tremendous. A deep, rich, but mellow smokiness, followed by a deft balance of sweet caramelized meat, fat and sauce, make these ribs among the best I have tasted in a while. They are quite substantial, masterfully and sparingly trimmed (pun intended), to ensure a truly satisfying bite every time. I loved the still crispy edges, tender and moist meatiness, and a large and generous overall rack that these ribs provide. They are a good value, and seriously good eatin'! Even the sides were different, well-conceived and prepared fresh. Namely, the potato salad is dappled with bacon and green onions, adding a nice, unifying smokiness that compliments the meat entrées. The vinegar slaw is really impressive, and sports some kind of Ramen type noodle for extra crunchiness. I really enjoyed it. The remaining two mild, sweet and spicy BBQ sauces worked well with all the leftovers, which stayed moist and delicious for a couple of days. I am still a bit shocked that such a neighborhood bar and grill establishment serves such great BBQ. I'm tellin' ya, if I lived anywhere near the COMO area, this would be a weekly haunt. Make it your habit, and you won't be disappointed by the truly friendly service, decent atmosphere, and fantastic food these folks offer up.

Nice little bbq joint. I also almost didn't go because of the reviews, but I'm glad I did. Had the sampler. Every cut of meat was very moist and smokey. Great flavor. As far as the prices being too high, that is also incorrect. Smoked foods take time and effort. Great all around experience. Staff was very good too.
