Smallcakes Columbia

I just bought these cupcakes for my son's 3 year old party. I originally wanted monster truck theme but I was late in ordering. Long story short I changed his theme to Spiderman and changing just one of the colors to red instead of yellow. I also thought with it being a Spiderman theme it would be easier for the baker to make it cute.Please see Pic below. Is this worth$50??? The red almost looks pink. I loved her business at one time but this will be my last.

Both experiences, one at each store had the same issue. The first time the customer service was OUTSTANDING but sadly the cupcakes were hard and stale...this was by the way an am visit...and I was actually the first customer. My second visit I went in the evening to their store on Fort Jackson and the cupcakes were better but still tasted old. I expected fresh cupcakes and have seen where others have said they weren't iced until your ordered them. Both times I have been given cupcakes off of the display. I just assumed that's how it was done. Customer service wasn't friendly and I felt rushed. But the icecream was great, especially the strawberry sorbet. I won't try them a third time and waste another $25. There has to be a good bakery around here where I can get baked goodies that taste like home and not days old Walmart🤷🏼‍♀️

Employee was patient while I asked questions. The cupcakes are moist but flavor wise it didn’t do it for me. The red velvet tasted like just a good chocolate cupcake. It was missing the traditional tang from buttermilk/vinegar that I prefer. The lemon cupcake tasted like a good vanilla cake w/a faint taste of lemon. The 4 stars is for the presentation (cute box), the moistness of the cupcakes and the nice employee I encountered.

First time coming here although I've passed it multiple times. I came, on my birthday, to pick up my cupcakes. I saw a Facebook ad, a few days prior, and decided to treat myself. Also, cupcakes are more manageable than a whole cake. The rating came down a star because I had to wait. I was on time to pick my order up. I was informed that there weren't enough vanilla cupcakes and they were still baking. I ended up getting some ice cream (I forget the flavor) to go wait in the car. It was really warm that day so it helped! Almost 30 minutes later, the young lady brought my box to my car. The cakes are actually kind of large! They were super moist and light although they seemed dense. I got lemon, peanut butter, red velvet, caramel crunch, birthday, and pink. You can tell the hot ones because the icing melted. I'd try other flavors next time.

Wow, if I could give this place 10 stars.... I definitely would. I have never tasted any cake or cupcake this good any where else. The customer service is awesome. Every order that I have placed was filled beyond my expectations. The cakes and cupcakes aren’t just beautiful; they’re extremely delicious. A huge thank you to everyone at the Two Notch Rd location especially the manager....she is the sweetest. Smallcakes will forever have my business. Thank you guys for your hard work and dedication.
