Steak 'n Shake

My family and I came here for dinner. Upon arriving we found the parking lot was clean and entering the restaurant we found the same. We were promptly greeted by the hostess, seated and then greeted by our waitress with our drink order taken. Within 5 minutes our waitress was back to take our order and we only waited around 15 minutes for our food with a full restaurant. When the food came out for all four of us it was fresh and hot, the waitress continued to come by periodically to check on us and see if we needed refills on our drinks but it wasn't to the point where it was to much and we were able to enjoy our meal without being bothered. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice and the prices for the meals are VERY reasonable. I strongly recommend this place for a nice place to sit, relax and enjoy a good meal.

If I could give this negative Stars I would. I just went to the steak and shake and usually I have decent experiences at least enough to get me to return every few months. Decided to treat myself this evening and wow it was a terrible idea to go to the location on Clark lane. Unfortunately I believe the person that I interacted with today was the manager which gives me zero hope for this location. She was obese had short red hair and looked like she was in her fifties. She discriminated against me for my food intolerance and spoke so fast and cut me off that I could not even get my order out. I had to correct her which did not get corrected in the system and then the poor gentleman at the window unfortunately gave me the incorrect order and had to fix the problem. She then came over to the window and gave me attitude telling me that I would have to wait additional time for asking for my meal to be modified due to my intolerances. I believe something needs to be done at this location if this person is in a management position. I highly suggest going to any other location and avoiding this one. Save your time and save your money it is not worth it they don't even fill up the fries and there was hair in my shake....

We ordered chili Macs with extra sauce and beef on the side.. We got the chili Macs ice cold, no sauce and the spaghetti was in 2 giant clumps that you could not pry apart.. Not edible. The waiter didn't care. The manager didn't care. I had to insist They take it off my ticket because I could not eat it. My son poured all of the sauce and beef that we got in the tiny buckets on his trying to make it edible, hes a teenage boy and he could not force down more than 2 bites. We left and went across the street to Wendy's. More often than not I feel like I waste my money every time I go there. I have given this place more than enough chances, we won't be back.

Great staff, great product though slightly overpriced. My complaint is the new and improved "Hunter Biden" inspired Coke straw that I received with my milkshake. The girth of this straw has an opening greater than our Southern border right now. Not only that if you don't finish your drink within 2 to 5 minutes the straw becomes a soggy wet noodle. Steak and shake, WT actual F.....

We purchased milkshakes to go... A regular cookies and cream and a junior Kit Kat (pictured). They were pretty decent with real whipped cream. Prices were reasonable. Lots of kitchen staff were working, but there were only 2 staff on the floor... It was a good wait to order and get our milkshakes, just as everyone else waited awhile to be taken care of as well. Staff didn't appear to be terribly happy and weren't very friendly.

They were bumping at 2 o’clock on a Saturday afternoon. Drive-through was slammed. Dining room was full. But they kept things moving. Great attitudes! Service was a little slow but considering the amount of volume they were having to deal with, they did great. The burger tasted amazing. We had a good time. Life hack, go to Sam’s Club get $50 worth of gift cards for only $37.50. It’s basically getting your shakes for free!We definitely will be going back again!
