We usually get the smallest 10 layer cake they have, and it definitely feeds a family of four for a good week. Perfect for special occasions, birthdays, parties. However, I ordered a cake for my birthday this past week; white cake with coconut creme, and they surprisingly put coconut shreds on it which I did not ask for.

We have ordered cakes here many time; all were delicious, well worth the money, and really something special. However, I ordered a cake for my birthday this past week; white cake with coconut creme, and they surprisingly put coconut shreds on it (which I did not ask for). I didn't mind the shreds, since I love coconut. But the coconut creme tasted extremely artificial. I know my coconut; if they use coconut cream and coconut milk, it definitely would not taste like this. Either the sweetening agent is off, or they used artificial flavoring which is a huge turn-off, especially since this place has such a reputation and is pricey. Also, I have had this cake before, I asked for exactly the same thing (minus the shreds, which taste perfectly fine). It definitely did not taste like this before. If you're going to change something, please change it for the better, and not for worse. And if you're going to put artificial flavoring in here, save me the trouble and warn me. If not, I will ask, and I will not order from here again if you do.

Got a coconut cake from here for a family gathering. It was a hit. The whipped creme mascarpone icing was different than the usual sugar-bomb coconut cake icing and was light and flavorful. The lemon mascarpone was my favorite and the Godiva chocolate cupcake was really good, lighter than you'd expect.
