Fancy That Bistro And Catering

catered my wedding this weekend and it was awful. food showed up but flavor was left behind. even sent the wrong vegetable for one the meals. vegetables are from a can with no real seasoning on cooking to them. meat was dry and flavor less. Definitely would not recommend. staff was friendly but really only served food.

Come here! This is a small local favorite! You can get a good meal (breakfast or lunch)) that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. It's not a fancy hipster place, nor would I consider it a hole-in-the-wall. It's cozy and clean. The service makes me feel like I'm in a small family-owned diner that cares about everyone that walks through the door.

Updated May 2019: My husband and I still come here for the best breakfast in Columbia!! Every Saturday after Soda City veggie pick up. Can’t beat the price and friendly service. My husband and I go to Fancy That! for Saturday breakfast as often as possible. Great coffee and even better food for a price you just cannot complain about. But recently we had them cater our wedding here in Columbia, South Carolina and I have to admit they blew us away. The food was amazing. They also handled our bar as well and we were very happy with everything they provided. Fantastic service and again at a great price. We just love Fancy That! and recommend them to everyone we can. Best Chocolate Covered Strawberries EVER!!!

This place has moved to St. Julian Place in Middleburg. I believe they are occupying a commercial kitchen in one of the residential buildings. They are a welcome addition. I believe they currently do take home meals and of course catering. But they are also doing home cooking lunch deliveries in the area for $10. You get a drink, a daily special, cheeseburger, or salad and a dessert and they bring it to you. Great deal. Food is home cooking like your mama makes it but significantly higher quality than Lizards Thicket.

Busy place with fast and friendly service. I had the French Toast with fresh fruit on the side and bacon. The presentation was very good. I liked the French Toast and loved the taste and crispness of the bacon. The fruit was not fresh, grapes and pineapples so I didnt care for it. It is a small place connected to a parking garage and major hotel downtown Columbia. The staff was warm and welcoming. The prices are equitable and they do have multiple options for breakfast, brunch and lunch. I do recommend this spot.
