Round Up Texas Bbq

This may be the best BBQ I've had outside of Texas. The brisket has a perfect char (make sure to ask for burnt ends if possible). The pork ribs and sweet sausage were delicious. You can tell the mac & cheese is made from scratch, not a box, and has a bit of a kick to it. Even the corn bread was great. And it's affordable by NY BBQ standards. Can't wait to go back!

Very disappointed. Picked up takeout on a Wednesday night 2/9/22. 3 meat combo- brisket, ribs, chicken, and side of fried okra. All 3 meats were dried out, and by the color, appeared to be a couple days old (unfortunately I did not take a pic). Ribs were on the verge of jerky, not kidding. They did have a good dry rub flavor. Although on the salty side, the brisket had a good rub as well, but very dried out. Chicken, also dry had good smoke flavor. BBQ sauce was tangy vinegar style and although it helped get the meat down, it was nothing special. The fried okra was ok- your standard deep fried appetizer. I plan to try one more time on a day the meats are smoked and will update.

We had 2 combos: -Brisket and ribs -Brisket and sausages -sides: cole slaw and mac & cheese I really enjoyed the food here!! By far the best Texas bbq I had in New York. We spent $50ish total. Not the cheapest food to grab for lunch, but there were 4 of us, and that breaks down to $12ish each. It was a manageable cost. I would recommend this location to my friends and family. If you wish to visit Cold Springs or Beacon ny, Round Up is a must place to stop by for a tasty meal:) I was personally very satisfied! I would definitely return.

Due to COVID, traveling and visiting restaurants have been something hard to come by. This is a rare gem of a space with plenty off outdoor space and vaccinated worker and employer. I am glad to find this place out of a random search for burger. We end up getting Texas bbq instead which is much better Our hiking spot is about 5 minutes drive from this place and it was easy to find off the route. Just be careful coming down the road because sherif is parked nearby for speeders. So don't drive too fast for you hungry folks. We came on a Sunday afternoon and there are 75% empty benches outdoor. Parking is not an issue except for those having decision problem because there are so many. To the food!! We got two combo due to decision issue and fries and potato salad. Combo has a mix of short rib, sausages and brisket. Portion is a small but great for the waist line right!!! Brisket is a little dry but it's decent enough. Right is top of the line. This place can sold out of stuff so be patient. We walk away pretty full after this order. Price is reasonable. I love the wood bench and paper towel. Sorry we ate all the food too fast to take some pictures.
