Island Bar And Grill, Pawleys Island

We came here as the end cap to our family vacation and we were made to feel like family. They have the best service and the best blackened grouper we've had in the area. Live music was an added bonus to the wonderful staff and food. It's a must if you're visiting the area!

We love the food, my hubby and his Tuna Nachos, me and my perogies. We have never been disappointed. The staff are super friendly, and on the ball. Great local place to visit.

For ceilingcat's sake, don't feed the darling cats! Leave that to the owners/locals. They'll otherwise beg everyone. Bring your dog(s). No worry there so long as you don't let the dogs be mean and give chase to the fearless felines. TJ is a supreme hostess, waitress, & barkeep. The food is divine. I'll be back to sample more drinks & all else.

We went in last night with a large group and were seated quickly (even though our group was slow to arrive) They accommodated everyone. As we arrived we had a small first aid emergency (not their fault) and they even provided us with their first aid kit. The servers were very kind. As for the food--it was great. We got a variety of food--from the Quesadillas to burgers--pretty much everything across the board. We never needed to ask for refills. The fried green tomatoes were my favorite--the sauce on it was a little spicy for me, (but I am not a person who likes spicy and I forgot to ask them to leave it off) but I ate my way through it and enjoyed it. We will definitely be back!

We went for late lunch and it wasn’t busy at all. The bartender/server was very friendly. The deck atmosphere is great to bring our dog. Be careful the boards aren’t all even. Just have to watch the cats running around. The food was ok. The fries were overcooked or the oil was old. I enjoyed my grouper sandwich with the spicy sauce. My wife’s burger wasn’t the best.

We're new in town and depend upon Facebook events to keep us "in the know" for what's going on locally. Island Bar and Grill came up for a night of blues on Pawleys Island. The food and reviews online looked good so we headed down from Florence. An hour and half trip. We weren't deterred by the distance! If it's awesome we will be there! So here we are and Island Bar and Grill doesn't disappoint. Located in an unassuming quaint strip-type mall, with inside and outside seating there's a spot for everybody. We sat inside during the Happy Hour and seriously enjoyed some fresh $5 grouper bites that were fried to perfection and some pierogis sautéd with onions. The grouper was light and flaky and served with some spicy horseradish dippy sauce. The pierogis were pan fried just right and the onions were sweet and caramelized. Yessss. We then moved onto a house side salad for me and a plate of mini burgers that we shared. The salad was fresh and the burgers were hot and juicy. Perfect. The kitchen crew has got it goin on fo sho. Our server Chris was attentive and on point. As was every other server. We were asked numerous times by different servers if we had been helped, wanted another drink or needed anything. I'm assuming they pool tips, and it was amazing how well everyone took care of us. We hopped outside to enjoy the breeze and live blues provided by Smokin Joes Burnin Blues Band. I enjoyed an American Mule (just the right amount of spicy ginger beer) and hubby had a hard soda. Prices on everything were great and comparable to any other bar and grill. Even though we live an hour and a half away in Florence we will definitely be back. Probably on a Monday. Cuz we love us some karaoke! Thanks again to the crew at Island Bar and Grill for a great time!
