I've eaten at popular vegan restaurants in Philadelphia, Toronto, Orlando and other PA locations. This by far was the best vegan food I've ever had. Their smothered fries are amazing! I could eat those for every meal! The flavor is unreal. The buffalo chicken sandwich was amazing as well. I've never been a mac n cheese fan ever in my life vegan or not and this was the first mac n cheese I have ever loved! Good job guys keep up the amazing work. The world needs more vegan restaurants like this!
I'm so happy I was finally able to come in and try some vegan soul food. Everything was absolutely delicious. I love their BBQ sauce and the Mac and cheese was amazing! I'm already looking forward to the next time I'll get to come in and try some more good food!
For my fiancé birthday we went here today with family & friends we almost ordered everything on the menu!!! The food is amazing everything taste so fresh and made with love my daughter even ate some, Ebony I want to thank you for your hospitality and your amazing skills. If your ever in the area or want some vegan food done right I HIGHLY recommend this place!!!
This is vegan food at its best! Most vegan food can tend to be bland. Urban Soul is anything but! As a non-vegetarian I'm always thrilled to enjoy vegetarian/vegan foods this was an absolute treat! The Buffalo wings were as good as any chicken based Buffalo wings! And the "steak" was fantastic too! Definitely recommend for anyone who likes flavorful food!

Drove almost an hour from Akron to eat here for my wife’s birthday and was not disappointed. Everything was delicious. The prices were great. Staff was super friendly. I was most impressed by the way everything really mimicked the meat it was replacing. The fake fish was flaky, the fake ribs were a little fatty, it wasn’t just the same thing with different seasoning like you sometimes get with vegan food. I can’t wait to go back.

The food was delicious!! I had my Be earth day celebration dinner here and it was Great. We ordered everything rib's, chicken wings, boneless wings, buffalo chicken sandwich, black bean burger, soul rolls, loaded fries, fried pickles, chicken & waffles, Mac & cheese, yams, corn bread, fish, crab cakes, peach soul roll's, apple fries, lemonade, white peach grape, and apple kiwi. EVERYTHING was delicious. All the food was hot, fresh and cooked to order. Ebony (The Owner) was so polite and friendly. We also had a friendly conversation with the cook. There is a comfortable and clean dine in area. It was six adults and one toddler and not one complaint. No one was on their phone, we didn't even take any pictures of the food before we devoured it lol. I am recommending everyone to dine or carry out here.
This was my 1st time . The food was very good. I ordered takeout and almost didn't make it home because the aromas in the car were so wonderful I thought I'd have to pull over and sample the dishes. Everything is vegan. I ordered a cheezesteak sandwich and Urban platter. All was delicious. The texture of the vege ribs was not as tender as expected and the vege chicken was on point. The only downside was I wish the piece of cornbread was bigger. The decor of the restaurant appears to be a work in progress.

My girlfriend and I came in with under an hr before closing on a Saturday night. We were the only customers there and I asked if there was still enough time to order and eat in and was told "We close at 9." We knew we were cutting it close but have really been wanting to try the restaurant and tonight was our best night of the week. We ordered appetizers, entrees and dessert letting the waitress know we expect to be taking half of everything home. The appetizer came out first, the entrees and dessert arrived together, remind you we were very close to closing time by now. The loaded fries were delicious, the mac & cheese is excellent, the rib dinner was great, the chicken and gravy was ok, the peach cobbler was ok. I found a product named chikn' that Whole Foods uses in their vegan pot pie that would be great with the entree I had. Perhaps they could experiment with this. We would also enjoy a little crumble on the cobbler. All said I would order the same on another visit. I am glad to have found a vegan soul joint and will definitely be back. We did end up staying a little past closing and the kitchen and waitress were very gracious hosts and made our visit tasty and great for us. 🙂 We recommend and hope to be back soon.
