I had a delicious meal that included Arabic tea and Shak-shooka, which is a Saudi breakfast of carmelized onions, sauteed tomatoes, and scrambled eggs served with a side of warm pita. I love all-day breakfast. I enjoyed sitting near the fire in the wood-burning stove.
Super cool, super chill, super tasty. Had the raspberry black tea and honey toast. Fresh and yummy and the place is so cute! Will be returning.
A funky place (and I mean that positively). Food offerings are partially middle eastern. Décor is largely homemade. The clientele ranges from alternative youth to much older people (like us) seeking non-chain restaurant food. Try the samosas – excellent! I also had a smoothie that was very good. We got there late morning and by the time we left it was peak lunch time and there was a line of ten or so waiting to order. It appears to be a popular place. Also, street parking was easy.
A wonderful hideaway that welcomes everyone. Excellent selection of teas and is very veg/vegan friendly.
This place is so unique. The food is amazing and reasonably priced. But the atmosphere is what makes it incredible. Homemade cups, mugs, tables, art, cabinets. It's warm and cozy with intimate seating and calm music.
This place is awesome. We just stopped in here on our way to a vintage shop, I had eaten a sandwich. About 20 minutes before we arrived. Had I known we were coming here I would have fasted for hours so that I could’ve tried multiple things on the menu. My wife and daughter shared, a sun-dried, tomato salad, a carrot salad, and a three cheese omelette. There were so many things that looked fantastic. Hummus plates, Shawarma, lots and lots of other incredible options. What really blew me away was the craftsmanship of everything from the front door to the fireplace in the corner, as well as the beautiful exploration of the tea cup all created by this wonderful restaurants proprietor. If I wasn’t flying I definitely would have bought one of his tea cups but I wasn’t wanting to worry about it breaking on the flight home. I come to Cleveland roughly once a year and I’m going to make a point to come back and be sure to leave room in the suitcase to bring one of his mugs home the next time I’m in town. Also I had the Friday Libyan Market Tea which is my new favorite way to have tea. Don’t miss this place.
Algebra Teahouse is a Cleveland landmark. Easily one of my favorite destinations, Algebra has been serving up Palastinian cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere for the last 22 years. Located in historic Little Italy on Murray Rd. Proprietor Ayman is a Palestinian born immigrant who brings his artistic flair to the space and the local community. A ceramacist and woodworker Iman built Algebra Teahouse from an empty shell. All of the fixtures and furniture are handcrafted in his unique style of curvism. Stop by and say hello. Everyone here is polite and courteous, and the small kitchen provides enough service to handle a full house. Definitely try the house smoothie. Tell them Jacobs sent you ;)
Algebra was such a cool experience! Tasty food for small plates or a full meal, a wide variety of inspired flavorful drinks and many classics.
The decor was also really interesting with each chair and table being unique. Would definitely go again sometime soon!
This place has such a unique, quaint style to it. The food has never once disappointed me, and the service has always been impeccable as well. This is definitely one of the stand out spots in Little Italy.
Been here for tea before, loved it. Today was my first time dining in. The food was delightful.. fresh, high quality, simply prepared.
The restaurant and staff were SO busy, and they still put together fine plates and drinks. Staff were moving efficiently, even under pressure, they smiled and were kind.
Found the food to be a nice break from the heavy, over seasoned, over cooked food that is almost every other eatery in the area. Easily accommodates healthy diet lifestyles.
Thank you Algebra!
Love the atmosphere here. Great place to just chill and vibe great place. Cant recommend enough! Food is great to because they give healthy options.
This place has a really nice atmosphere. The interior is "quirky", and all the tables are made with tree branches and have strange shapes. The whole place has a "repurposed" vibe, which I don't mean as a bad thing at all. There's a great selection of teas and coffee, as well as a variety of Mediterranean and American style entrees and other meals. I had the Shak Shooka and the house blend coffee (served in a unique little mug). I had a good time, and I'll be sure to come back and try out their other drinks.
