Balaton was fantastic. Authentic Hungarian food cooked to perfection. The Paprikash, goulash and stuffed cabbage were incredible. Reminds me of grandma’s cooking. This is a family run business with a great atmosphere. Definitely going back. Fried flat bread a must. Remember to make reservations.

What an amazing restaurant! I was excited to try this place for dinner..
PLEASE NOTE MUST HAVE RESERVATIONS especially for dinner. The place is small and quaint. The first thing you notice when walking in is the delicious aroma of all the food.
We did not have reservations ( I didn’t know prior ) and the hostess graciously seated us in between reservations.
The menu is extensive with Hungarian cuisine… chicken paprikas, cabbage and noodles,Wiener schnitzel, and so much more…..
If you have room for deserts they were huge …. So you can share for sure!!!
Limited Alcohol choices and only have one house dressing .

If you want authentic Hungarian food this is the place to go, a little on the pricey side but well worth it. They are not skimpy on the portions by any means, there is always leftovers for another meal. The house salad dressing is fantastic as well as the chicken paprikash.

We ordered this platter to serve 2-4 people.
It was plenty of food for my husband and me, plus we had leftovers for a few days.

Truly a wonderful experience! We will definitely return for another delicious meal. My Dad would cook meals like this for us and it was wonderful to have delicious food like this again. I loved the atmosphere and service was amazing!!! 5 stars!!

I had such an amazing time last night with my family for my birthday!! The food is really good and authentic! You MUST make a reservation! I'm so glad I did! We were seated within a few minutes in a cozy corner spot! Everything on the menu is delicious!! The service is second to none! Our server (006) did not catch her name! Was attentive and friendly! And it was a full house! The owner is very nice and his daughter Vivian was wonderful too! You just can't get this level of service from a chain! I cannot wait to go back! I highly recommend balaton! I feel like I just created great memories for the future!

Table of 8, including two ethnic Hungarians. All loved it. Chicken paprikas is excellent. Langos is amazing! Those new to Hungarian food should start with the Hungarian Platter and langos. You need reservations at least 48 hours in advance, all food is cooked to order.
