Amazing mod mex restaurant styled in a home! The place is small and doesn't take reservations, so try to get there early if you don't want a wait (I've heard it's been up to 4 hours at times). Larger groups typically sit upstairs, while couples will be downstairs where the bar is. All of the food and drinks we tried were delicious- definitely save room for dessert, too!
Food was as good as it gets ! Absolutely amazing pork chop cooked to perfection. Guacamole with goat cheese was the best ! Margaritas were alittle disappointing to be honest. (Mucho Buenos in Brunswick best margaritas in U.S.) Service was great ! Food , atmosphere, service, was so good we will be regulars now !
Our first time there and we started with guacamole which was the best i have ever had, halibut, butternut squash tiquitos, and finished with creme brulee. Wifey had a great margarita. We will be back
Absolutely one of the best restaurants we’ve been to in CLE. When you go to a restaurant, you can tell the ones that put maximum effort and passion into their work and Momocho is that place. EVERYTHING is made and served with excellence. We got flights of margaritas, guacamole, and salsa and all were absolutely next level. I have dreams about the guac even weeks later. Our entrees were creative, beautiful, and most importantly delicious. We can’t wait to have visitors so we can take them to one of the BEST stops in CLE.
This place is so hip and the food are delicious! We ordered the flautas and carnitas taquitos and they are really good. I really love the mole sauce that's served with flautas, the brussel sprout is well cooked and compliment the flautas really well and the portion is actually pretty big. I also ordered the blood orange margaritas and it is hands down the best margarita I've ever had! I also love the ambience of the place, it is not too noisy like other bars. We came in on Tuesday and they have Tequila Tuesday - where you can get selection of tequila with discounted price.
I have been wanting to go here for YEARS. It absolutely did not disappoint. Everything we got was delicious. It was also a lot of food for the price. We got guacamole, 2 appetizers, 2 entrées, and a margarita flight all for under $100. Beware, there are no reservations. We got lucky and got in after 5 minutes due to a cancelation.
Great food, friendly server, in a cozy house.
Make a reservation to avoid disappointment.
They have a parking lot with 12 parking spaces. It sounds plenty, but Momocho is a popular place. The evening we went we had to circle the neighborhood for a few times to find an empty street parking spot.
My wife and I, who live in suburban Detroit, were in Cleveland for an event earlier this year and went to Momocho for the first time. We were truly impressed by how great it was. How impressed? So much so that we drove from Detroit to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary there! And, to no surprise, our second experience at Momocho was even better than our first!
As someone who loves to cook, the Chef's Table was an incredible place to sit. And I have to say, Chef Nick was so friendly and accommodating. We talked about cooking, he made great recommendations, and just made the evening even more enjoyable. (He even shared his secret for cooking an awesome Thanksgiving turkey.) Also, MJ, who was helping out (getting our drinks, etc.) was fab, too.
The food was spectacular. We had a flight of guacs (pecorino, smoked trout, and goat cheese), the grilled octopus, and the carrot elote. All so damn good! I had the pork chop entree and my wife had the butternut squash flautas (you *have* to get the fried egg on top!). No surprise that those dishes were perfect as well. Unfortunately, we were so full, we couldn't do dessert. But watching the fried ice cream being prepared was almost as good as eating it. (Not really. We'll get some next time!)
Oh, yeah. The blood orange and honey-ginger margaritas? Stellar. I love the combination of flavors the Momocho team puts together, not only in their food, but in their drinks, too.
We've only been there twice, but Momocho is our favorite restaurant. Period. The only downside? That it's 2 hours and 45 minutes away from our house. But, you know what? That's a small sacrifice to make for such delicious food and drink!
We'll be back! And we might bring friends with us the next time!
I’ve had way better chips before but everything else was great! Service was fast and nice. The guacamole was good. The tamle frito was really tasty, the beets really helped cut some of the heaviness cheese and meet can have. Overall a really nice well rounded entree!
This place was fabulous! We drove 2 hours to try this restaurant out and it was worth the trip. Their patio was closed but they let us sit out there anyway and took perfect care of us. The food was amazing 👏. Everything tasted so good. We would like to thank all the staff for making our trip so worthwhile. I would recommend this place to everyone.
