Chutneys Troy

It is newly opened restaurant....with good crowded service was good but it take time food is delicious and yummy ...I had south India thali is awesome ....they have varieties of idli&dosa...chutney taste is good we also had onion pakora with 3 type of chutney...I wll high recommend this restaurant. I regret to give the above review . I have ordered carry out thalli and got so disappointed they didn’t give me rice without rice how can I eat rest of the thing suggest not to take carry out from this restaurant. Man over there is rude he never apologize ... he don’t care about his regular customers ..... I experienced many times so I stop going there ....

For Troy residents this place is not too far and it's very close to Pizza hut in Clawson. Parking >>> They have more than enough parking space. Review as a vegetarian. I was a bit mislead as their name says "vegetarian food" so I assumed the buffet would have more and better vegetarian options. But that was not the case. Proportionally more dishes were non vegetarian than a regular Indian restaurant, which means very few vegetarian options. Only saving Grace was that the food was very home like, which could go either way for people since many people may not prefer to go for home like taste whole deciding to dine out. For me, much better options are available in Rochester and Troy area.

Was here an early Sunday evening. The service and hospitality is average.Talking about the food which helps us to decide a revisit and adding the place to the list of favorites. The food is very spicy and Extremely oily. The quantity of the food is also not justifiable when compared with the cost. I also shared this feedback with owner, lets see if they improve. The take away is, Try it, at your own risk.

The food was passably good, but we waited half an hour just to be given water, 45 minutes for our order to be taken, and another hour to receive our food. During that time, the server barely came out of the kitchen and did not check up on us even once. The restaurant was practically empty and everyone else was waiting expectantly for service too. Even when our food finally did arrive, two of the items were incorrect, but trying to seek a correction was like pulling teeth. This was our second visit, and we'd waited an hour last time too. Looking at other reviews on here, that seems to be the rule, not the exception. The food was good enough to merit a second chance and saved this place from 1 star, but given that the lackluster service, I don't think we'll be coming back. There are enough Indian style restaurants in the area, like Priya, that don't involve a three hour wait. The food is good, but not that good.
