So this is a love story not only between a man and a woman which it is but much much more. This story is about wife and husband team and their love of food, their skill in making dinners an event so you too can fall in love with the art of food. At Due Venti you can't have lunch or breakfast but dinner, now that you can have. A night full of non conventional northern Italian masterpieces. One page and that all you need for the Menu which is created fresh each and everyday. You won't get pasta and meatballs or chicken parmesan. But something better. From the start every dish is a please and tease you, like Fritelie and the Olives, a dish of warm roasted olives tossed in garlic and citrus spice. Or dish of Scallops resting on a hand made pasta dish, fresh kernels of corn butter and thyme. The list of great dish are listed on the website which will tell more on this love story. Enjoy and make sure you take your time its worth every minute.

Amazing dining experience ! We had the pleasure of chef Nicole's company while waiting at the bar for our reservation time. She is delightful and an amazing pastry chef and recommended and nice bottle of wine. Our meal from appetizers to salad to sea bass was delicious. Wait staff very attentive. Highly recommend !

Best farm to table that I've found in my visits to the Detroit area. Quite inventive ideas but the depth of flavors could have been a bit more. Friendly and attentive staff.

Quite a Special place. I had intentions to dine here since I first saw the menu over a year ago, and on my wife's birthday, it provided a memorable experience. What sets due venti apart are its size, menu originality, preparation and pace of dining.

The menu, to one who appreciates cooking or has a palette that seeks new experiences, is divine. From the antipasti to salads to entrees, the ingredients used in each dish are worthy of re-reading because you typically will not see them anywhere this side of a major city--at least not in such pleasant harmony. The menu changes seasonally, from what I'm told, and the number of choices within each category are "limited," but the (5 antipasti, 2 salad, 6 entree) selections appear very well-designed and tantalize the imagination with each descriptive word.

We enjoyed "Sfoglia di pane" as appetizer. An oven-fired flatbread with subtle flavors of tomato, Toma cheese, oregano and paper-thin sliced cured prosciutto. A delightfully light start. Next we each enjoyed a cup of the daily soup, which was featured small pieces of roasted eggplant in a light broth with just a hint of red pepper flake. Our shared "Insalata della Casa" was more than sufficient in size, and was a terrific blend of fresh mixed greens, golden raisins, goat gorgonzola nuggets and pine nuts tossed in the house vinagrette.

For entrees, my wife chose the pan-seared Sea Bass encrusted lightly with pistachios, encircled by a ring of garlic-sauteed garbanzo beans with a hint of mint. Very nicely presented. I chose, as I usually do, something I would not otherwise find, and that was "Ragu di coniglio," apparently one of the most popular dishes and as such remains a staple on the menu. Moist and tender strands of boneless organically raised rabbit in a ragu of carrot, fennel, raisin, wine and orange zest. This healthy portion was served atop strips of crepe that looked like double-thickness fettuccine, but had a wonderfully "eggy" texture and slight sweetness that complimented the dish.

My wife was kind enough to share a bite (just ONE) of her Sea Bass, and it was exquisite.

We finished the meal with two exceptional desserts, hers, an Opera Torte of so many layers I lost count at 18. Alternating bands of espresso-soaked almond cake, ganache and Italian buttercream--heaven. My Caramel-fennel gelato not only had an uncommonly satisfying flavor, but a subtle waxiness that pointed toward the use of heavy cream, confirmed by the owner later. Sprinkled on top were a pinch of smoked sea salt crystals that literally made our eyes grow two-fold once they hit the back of the tongue. Great idea!

The service was sharp and professional, and they accommodated my own particular--if not odd--request to serve my wife's glass of wine with an large uncut Ametrine crystal immersed. Flowers were on the table upon arrival, and both her dessert plate and even the menu featured a birthday greeting to her.

This is a special place, not just for the food, but for the experience in total. The dinner is not rushed--isn't that a lost pleasure these days? The size is intimate--yes the tables are close, but remember when people could actually talk to one another even if they weren't previously acquainted? We did, and it augmented our positive experience. There is an inn-like charm to due venti that fosters the confidence that your evening, in its entirety, will be handled with personal care. Do enjoy this restaurant, and do make reservations if you are planning something special.

Excellent!. I could not be happier than I am to have discovered this place. A friend of my family works as a server there and they recently held her wedding shower there, I was blown away. The staff here is composed of genuine "foodies" who are concerned only with presenting their guests with the absolute freshest, most delicious food. I can't comment on the service, because I'm bias, but I can tell you for certain that with many friends in the service industry, this is the first favorable review I've given to one of their restaurants :)

P.S. I am dying to find out where they get the olives here...I think about them at least once a day!

The charm exuded as soon as we entered The restaurant. Our server, Genevieve, was excellent. Each course was described and tasted as good as the description. The noise level was low so we could enjoy good conversation while dining. Will definately return.

This is a great restaurant. I am very lucky to have a place like this with owner/chefs that care this much about a quality experience as they do less than 2 miles from my house. I have eaten here several times and each time is better than the last. The food is awesome, the atmosphere is cozy & comfortable and the staff is terrific. Everyone should eat here for a true taste of real Italian food not the stereotypical mass production spaghetti and meatballs.

Very good Italian restaurant. A down side is that wine is only served by the glass!

Due Venti delivered both a surprisingly refined and delicious dining experience. The somewhat unassuming exterior doesn't quite reflect the beautiful interior. Definitely not a stereotypical "Mom and Pop" Italian restaurant. If you're looking for Pizza or spaghetti and meatballs this isn't the place for you. The menu is actually focused on an assortment of Northern Italian specialties, all of it delicious. The patio area gives a wonderful al fresco option and the service was exceedingly prompt and friendly. Reservations are available and recommended.

Due Venti is one of my husband and I’s favorite restaurants in the area. Everything we’ve had here, from brunch to the tasting menu to their normal dinner menu, has been truly amazing. Their tasting menu and wine pairing was our favorite and made for a special date night. Some of the best Italian food I’ve had, such a bonus that it’s right down the street. Creative dishes and prices aren’t too high considering the high quality of the food.

Another trip another great food discovery! If you’re in the madison hts area of Michigan do yourselves a favor and have dinner at this wonderful restaurant. I had the frittelle and a salad, both very tasty! Everyone should try the frittele here! Great wine choices as well. Very lovely outdoor seating area if you want to enjoy the fresh air with your group. Would definitely come back over and over again!

This is a nice place to go to for a special event! We were welcomed with a chalk sign wishing us Happy Anniversary. We chose the tasting menu, and every course we had was delicious. Even our menu (that we got to keep) had a special note on it, wishing us Happy Anniversary! We will definitely come back.

Wonderful! First time here. Will definitely be back. Every course was a taste bud extravaganza. The walnut cake was the only let down but I think that was because everything else was so exceptional. The drowned gelato was the final exquisite touch. Great job!

Finally, authentic Italian food. I have suffered and complained for years at other restaurants with wannabe Italian food. Never again, as this place is awesome. The atmosphere, food and service are all top notch. From appetizers to dessert, it was like having dinner at my grandfather's house. We will be back!❤

The service is more than amazing, the food is excellent, different, with a very particular and delicious flavor, I haven't come across with something like this in the united States. The place is really nice, small and I would say cozy. We came to celebrate my wife's birthday and they had the menu personalized for her and had a " happy birthday" message on a board at the entrance.Small great details. Did I mention the food is amazing as well as the service? (Andrew was the one attending us, he deserves more than 5 stars)
