Great sandwich shop in OTR. Love the simple aesthetic and interesting menu. The eggplant caponata sandwich was excellent as was the verde pork sandwich. Butternut squash soup was good too, with a twist of coconut flavor. I'll definitely be back in for lunch soon.

Good quality Sandwich, Uses Avril-Bleh meats so you know the meat is good. Water fountain is a nice touch. You can save money on a drink and get more sandwich. Nice thick red tomato on my Turkey Club. Beats subway on quality and price. I will pay more for a good sandwich. Subway charges less per sandwich then jacks up the drink and chips cost. So you end up paying the same. Why not go to flavor country and do The Royal?

I went here with the date right before their 230 closing time, neither of us having any idea what was even on their menu, or what we wanted. The gentleman working we're both very polite and helpful as we tried to figure out what we were going to eat. Ended up going with the harvest field salad, with a cilantro lime vinaigrette, and the chicken adobo grilled cheese sandwich @spinach. They added that with no extra cost, and whenever we told them that we wanted to really split both of those things is half-and-half into the making one giant full salad for us they actually separated them out into two separate bowls, and gave us two separate placements outside, despite the fact they be closing soon. We also ordered a serving of their house made chicken salad to go with the green salad. All of their sauces and dressings are made entirely in house, and of the three that we tried I would have to say they were all incredible. They pickle their vegetables in house, roast the component pieces of their sandwiches in house, and source their bread from 16 bricks right down the road. You add all these components together and what you get is a really high-quality sandwich shop. Great service, very good food, and a really cool location. Only problem is they close at 2:30 on the weekdays, so unless you're doing lunch downtown already you're not gonna be able to try them. One last thing, they also threw in a bag of chips to go with the sandwich. While it says that it's complementary I personally would rather have the option to pay an up charge and get a side of something actually making house instead, extra vegetables, something like that. Total sidebar, not enough to detract from the meal, but just something I wanted to throw out. the prices are a little high, because neither the single salad nor the sandwich would be enough for me to consider it a meal, but if you ordered multiple things I a sandwich and half a salad, or a salad and a bowl of soup, you could definitely feel yourself up here with good, high-quality food. There's a higher price for that, but it bounces out in the end definitely wanted to salute the Royal as an excellent new sandwich shop

Great food! For kids, try the grilled cheese without all the fixings. My girls thought it was the best thing they have ever eaten!! Friendly atmosphere and great location! This will be a favorite in Cincinnati for sure!

If you're looking for a quick bite or a late-night dog, this spot is great. Among my favorites: grain bowls with lots of fresh, crunchy veg and inventive sandwiches on local bread. (Try the black bean hummus melt, Peruvian pork and adobo chicken grilled cheese, especially!) But beware the house salad, which is served with pickled radishes and onions + a house vinaigrette that can be a little too, well, vinegar-y.

Ambience could use some work but they're brand new so that may improve. The menu was extensive and interesting (in a good way) and the dish I ordered was fantastic (pork verde). WiFi didn't work but it was opening day so that seems fine.
