We just ordered take out tonight, and the Chicken Curry, Chicken Dal, and Chicken Mushroom were all amazing! The service was great too! We will definitely be back. We are looking forward to enjoying their dining room next time.
Great Food, Friendly Staff. I've been coming to this place for years. Although the staff has changed over the years, they've always been friendly and the food has always been good.
Chicken tikka massala with some garlic nan, you can't go wrong.

Lamb curry is amazing; garlic naan and rice pudding top it off. I'm always on the hunt for good curry. It varies a lot depending on the style, but Royal Taj has the best lamb curry I've ever eaten. It's usually not hot enough for me at many Indian restaurants, but Royal Taj did not disappoint - I ordered a "level 6" and it was fiery but with a remarkably good taste. The Naan is also exceptional, try the garlic. Also make sure you try the rice pudding dessert which was free with the dinner entree. It is excellent.
Service was great, but don't expect them to chat you up. Just expect them to deliver good food. It's a little slow, but that is OK with me as long as the quality is there. And it is!

A good east side option. I might not be a connoisseur of Indian food who knows the differences between the regional varieties. I've never been to India. But for an American who enjoys this type of food, this is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the area.
I had initially eaten here when they first opened, several years ago. I found the food bland and the curry very watery. So I pretty much wrote them off and totally forgot about them, having to travel to Clifton to get my Indian fix. I decided to give them another shot about a year ago and was pleasantly surprised with how much it had improved.
I usually get the Chicken Sashi Korma, Lamb Saag, or Chicken Jalfrezi. Although pretty much everything I have tried here is excellent. I usually take their food to go, but on the occasion where I have eaten in I have found the service to be adequate and the decor is pretty much what you would expect at a place like this. The dine in experience is nothing fancy, so this place really shines as an Indian takeout option. Give them a try if you live in the area.
Very good. I've gone to a lot of the Indian restaurants in Cincinnati and I liked Royal Taj a lot. The naan was some of the best I have had. I will go back for sure!
Excellent food. Love the lunch buffet (when I can get there at lunch hours.) As a vegetarian I love Indian places and this one will not disappoint. Try the Aloo Choley with some garlic Nan. They use the normal 6 point spiciness scale, I usually get 4 which is pleasantly warm but you can still taste the complex flavors.
Best Indian restaurant in the Anderson/Union Township area. I always get delicious food and friendly service here. If you're on the fence about trying Indian food, come here and try the chicken tikka masala. Drooling just thinking about it.
The food is good and affordable. We have a choice of 4 nearby Indian restaurants. We prefer this one the most. The interior is a bit of a dive, but the food is superb.
