My friend and I went last Friday (may 3rd.) and thought since it was a Friday night @ 8:30, it might be crowded, it wasn't. Seated right away....long story short...we both had the Wisconsin cheddar broccoli soup and chicken salad sandwich...OMG, both were so yummy! Bread pudding for dessart!! Such a great meal, I'm taking out of state friends there Wed. Love love the wait staff to...great atmosphere!!!
Sorry for any confusion, I thought I’d posted this, but my website has been giving me the blues, so I’ve been a bit distracted. We went to Bacall’s for carry out and figured we would try something different. I typically order a burger or the ranch fries which are so very good. I often think about them and even try to make them at home, but they are never the same, so I come right on back to Bacall’s. I love this restaurant, its one of my favorites in the neighborhood. Its eclectic and welcoming and has great food for reasonable prices. Its the type of place that you can go and hang out at for as long as you like and no one will rush you, instead they’ll keep refilling your drink and strike up a convo with you.
YUM!!. Just ate there the other day and food was so good! Had the Buffalo Chicken wrap and side salad with ranch. (best side salad ever) Husband had the Avenue steak with mashed potaotes. (steak was so juicy and flavorful. cooked perfectly) We werent expecting much but were so happily suprised. Cant wait to go back. havent stopped talking about it since!!
Simply the best!. Always been the best; over a decade to 2 deacades runninng! Consistens, fast; reliable! CAn't miss spot!

We got carry out on Friday at work, everyone loved their meals! Some coworkers for the wraps and they were a big hit. The 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 soup was delightful, the white cheddar soup was delicious! Will definitely be ordering again!

Tuesday evening place is packed wasn’t sure we would get a table but we were quickly taken care of and the best part is our server Morgan was absolutely amazing!!!!! So efficient fun and a breath of fresh air. It’s been a long time since we have seen such good customer service anywhere we’ve been since the pandemic we haven’t even got our food yet but already feel taken care of and hoping there are more workers out there as special as she is. Our entire table looked at each other simultaneously and thought the same thing !
Ranch fries were great. But the service was ehhh. A young man took our drink order and a young lady took our food order, someone else brought our food, and we never saw our waitress again. If they can get the service on the same level as the kitchen i think customers would have a better experience.

Ate here last Friday night. My boyfriend used to come here all the time when he was younger and we wanted to try something new together. I'll start with all the positives: Everything we ordered was delicious. The Wisconsin cheddar soup was some of the best soup I've had in a long, long time. I got chicken fingers and fries for my meal - the fries were cooked perfectly and the honey mustard dipping sauce was amazing. My boyfriend got the reuben with onion strings and he also had nothing but good things to say. We split a piece of chocolate cake for dessert. This, too, was delicious.
Now for the negative: Our server had a really bad attitude to start. Not sure if it had to do with us ordering water to drink, but he started off on a bad foot with a snotty comment. He brought us our waters and then never came back to take our order. We sat there for almost 15 minutes and my boyfriend eventually had to flag him down. When I placed my order, he said something along the lines of "I suppose you want ketchup, too?", which isn't really a bad thing to say, but he just sounded so condescending saying it. His service improved slightly throughout our meal, but still left me with a bad taste in my mouth. He never introduced himself, either. We didn't get his name until we got our check.
Despite the bad to mediocre service, I would still go back. The menu here looks to have a lot of other really tasty things and the soup alone is worth going in for. I just hope service is better next time...
EDIT 3/4/19: Changing my review from 4 to 5 stars. Finally made it back and the service was much improved, no complaints whatsoever. The soup was still amazing. Their philly cheesesteak is phenomenal, though not exactly what you'd expect with a side of au jus but the flavors were so delicious. Will definitely be back and will probably try something else, which I'm sure will be very good based on my previous 2 experiences.
First timer. Got the ranch chicken club wrap with chips. It was very good and very filling. Had a gin and tonic to go with my meal. Service was good and the Reds game was on. Overall excellent.
Great food for the price and drinks. My only suggestion would be to change chili recipe. It tasted like someone dumped a cup of sugar into each spoonful. Pretty rough
Fairly standard American food. It’s a nice inexpensive place to have a bite to eat.
The food was phenomenal. I recommend the zucchini fries, chicken artichoke Pizza off the appetizer menu and the Mac and cheese. My mom tried the bread pudding and the portion was large and topped with an amazing sauce. I tried the German chocolate pie, it was good but probably should have just been called lightly chocolate coconut pie. I can't wait to go back and try a couple other items on the menu that sounded good especially like the wagyu beef burger, the turkey burger and the carrot cake
Love the waffle fries and the house made ranch! Also love all the veggie options - especially the vegetarian chicken sandwich.
