First time visiting today. Absolutely amazing! Service was great, the gentlemen working was so friendly and provided us with information on the menu. Can’t wait to go back, some of the best empanadas and arepas I’ve ever had!
My husband spent some time in Venezuela and has always been on the hunt for authentic empanadas and arepas- we found just that here! They are delicious- great flavor and DON'T skip the cilantro sauce. These are well worth the trip!
Very good food, made fresh to order so expect to wait 5-10 minutes. No real outside seating, so I would recommend ordering to go. We ended up eating in our car. Owner was extremely helpful and courteous. We were not very familiar with Venezuelan food, and he took the time to explain the different menu items. He also delivered the food to our car window, as it was a little cool outside. His service and the quality of food easily made up for the lack of seating.
Arrechissimo opened more than five years ago shortly after the owner's family moved to the area from their native Caracas, Venezuela. They'd sought treatment for their daughter at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Now they spend their time offering a taste of their homeland's signature dishes, in spite of how terrible and volatile Venezuela has since become thanks to years of political corruption and economic upheaval.
This was absolutely fantastic. Unique flavors that I haven't had anywhere else. Good portion sizes, good fresh quality ingredients and good service. As the restaurant is pretty new and there's no place to sit inside, I'd recommend calling ahead. I'll likely be back tomorrow.
Arrechissimo is a very unique eatery in two respects - first, the focus on Venezualan food, and second, ordering from a window on the side walk, and absolutely no seating.
I really, really like the food I have sampled here - the arepas and the empanadas - and would award 5 stars on that basis alone, --but-- the prices are a little out of line with the quantity of food one gets, how one gets it, and the location. Deer Park is a working class community, and this is a tiny takeout stand, and although I spent a total of 11 dollars on two items (and really, really enjoyed what I got) I was not filled up today. I think they'd do a lot more business if they took a good hard look at their price point and made some adjustments
But back to the food. I really like the Arepas and Empanadas at another South American specialty eatery that popped up recently - Zona Vip - but the versions here are even better. Both appeared to have been made fresh to order for me, and were absolutely delicious, with the key taste being the fresh ground corn mix (masa?) in the dough of both items
They have a picture of a special item called a Chacapa (wiki says it is a common Venezualan and Columbian street food) up in the window, which looks like a pancake folded over one with some thick slabs of cheese (looked like fresh mozz, but I am sure it was some other kind of cheese) inside. Looked great, but when I asked about the price, I was told 9 dollars. I know its cheaper than a flight to Venezula, but 9 dollars for a pancake and some cheese? Only if the wrapper is a 5 dollar bill. Still, knowing me, I will give in and try it as a splurge one of these days
Bottom line: 5 star food, but high prices takes them down a star
Sometimes when my husband and I are out and about and it’s time to eat, we will search for restaurants in our surrounding area for the sole purpose of trying something new. We like to be adventurous. This is how we learned about Arrechissimo in the Blue Ash/Deer Park area. Arrechissimo is a small Venezuelan restaurant not far from Kenwood. This is truly a Mom and Pop place meets the American dream. The owners are a Venezuelan couple who moved to the United States a few years ago to seek health care for their daughter at Cincinnati Children’s. From there, they opened a small restaurant using family recipes. Now, when I say small, I mean carry-out or sit at one of three outside tables. There is no indoor seating. Please do not let this deter you from trying this food though. It is incredible!

First Venezuelan Food Experience - Great!. I tried this for the first time last week and was pleasantly surprised. The Arepas and Tequenos were delicious. Javier was such a pleasure and made recommendations as we ordered. I will return.
I had been looking for some Latin/ South American food around Cincy for a while without much luck. I had heard about this place but never got a chance to go until now. Though I have never had Venezuelan food before I really feel like this is the real deal. I got the reina pepiada and it's like nothing I've ever had before, really excellent. I also tried the empanadas and had success. Just don't expect to sit down because there is no where to sit with it being just a window but this was not a problem for me. 5 stars
FINALLY! Latin food that d.... FINALLY!
Latin food that does my culture some justice! Absolutely dynamite and the owner was incredibly friendly. Will be returning...regularly, even if I have to drive 30 minutes out of the way. The cilantro sauce was a grand slam.
Excellent Venezuelan Food!. Stopped by and so glad we did! Had the tequenos as recommended by a couple that was sitting at on of the small tables provided for outdoor dining. They are basically cheese sticks but by far the best in town! For entrees, we purchased the Venezuelan Typical Plate which was awesome- well spiced shredded beef and the Breaded Chicken. The sweet plantains are a must as well. The cilantro sauce and pink sauce (not sure of the correct name) are a great addition.
Kind people who provide great service. Hours aren't listed but they are open Mon.-Sat. 9:30am-8pm.
Legitimately great food and just as great service. Don't be ashamed to ask questions or ask for suggestions... though everything is a good choice. The passion fruit drink is a bit tart until you have some food, when it REALLY complements the savory flavors. The cheese in the tequeños is something special, and just a bit sweet.
This is probably one of the best restaurants in Cincinnati. The other reviews aren't exaggerating.
The only thing that can be improved is having indoor seating, though it's probably too expensive. The outdoor seating is still nice in the right weather.
I hosted my sister’s bachelorette party this past weekend and I had been looking for a Latin-inspired meal for Friday night.
Arrechissimo catered a delicious meal of paella and empanadas for us. They even accommodated a shellfish allergy for one of the guests. The food was incredible, very authentic, and it was a hit!
I do believe it is a carry out restaurant with a walk up window, but it is absolutely worth the visit for some delicious and authentic Venezuelan food! 🇻🇪🥘
We came in looking for latin food which is hard to find in Cincinnati. We were very happy to find this place has been here for over 10 years on the very same corner. The man who took our order was very nice and friendly.
We ordered the vegetarian rice bowl and a plantain empanada with the spicy cilantro sauce and it was delicious! The vegetarian options are fun and delicious and not just a boring salad. There's also a decent amount of vegetarian options and many meat dishes so everyone can eat something.
Get the passion fruit juice!
Food was excellent!! We enjoyed every single bite. We ordered the chicken bowl and it was filling.
The place itself is nice.
Fantastic food! Got the meat lover bowl with spicy cilantro sauce. Definitely would recommend 👌
Food so delicious, gentleman very kind and nice! Definitely 100000% recommended. 😎🙏🏼
I've been wanting to try this place since I moved to the area, and because my mom came to visit from out of town, I figured it was time to eat here... it was a great decision. the food is amazing, the owner is very kind, and the whole place is very clean and inviting. we're definitely going to get more tomorrow before she leaves and I'll be bringing friends to try it for themselves in the near future. order whatever he recommends!
It’s really good. Prices are pretty high fyi (17-18 for a bowl and drinks are 5-8). Make sure to ask for sauces, we didn’t know about them and missed out but a friend told us!
This is a gem!! Food was fantastic, my wife got the chicken bowl and I got the meat grill bowl. She also got the passion fruit juice and we had an empanada as well. Portions were nicely sized and every tasted fresh. The service was top tier, super friendly man and he explained the menu and options very well. We’ll definitely be coming back when we’re in the area. If you’re at the Kenwood mall, don’t go to the food court, come to Arrechissimo!
An outside cafe type of establishment. Javier the owner very cordial, I ordered a empanada and arepa. First it was done at the moment, not sittings in a glass case, getting old and tasteless. A wonderful delight to eat those items and very tasteful. A must try to eat place. Highly recommended.
