Patisserie Mark Bennett

Mark Bennett could be the best baker on the South Coast. Real artisan continental style sourdough, baguettes, pastries, cakes and tarts. Just as one finds in Belgium, Netherlands and France. The coffee is not bad but it is so dependent on the barista your mileage may vary based on the location. The sandwiches and filled bagels are excellent. The staff are always upbeat and smiley. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for here and you'll be satisfied.

Great place for delicious quick lunch. I had BLT special sandwich (brown bread) and my husband had BLT special in brown baguette. Both delicious. We could not agree what option was better. I would say bread, my hubby would go for the baguette again. Both were really soft, full of chicken, bacon, avocado and juicy tomatoes with lettuce. Staff was very helpful and whole service swift. I asked to remove fat off the bacon and they even managed to do so. We had almond cookies… OMG, these are to die for. If you have a sweet tooth, try it. It doesn’t look appetising or welcoming, but don’t let it to put you off. 4stars only because there could be a bit more mayo in the baguette. It felt a bit dry. But some people could actually prefer it. And tables were left with dirty dishes on and they did not wipe our table down. It was a bit dirty. Otherwise all good and we will definitely come back.
