I have had many, many pies in my life time. I have tried pies from all around the country. The pie I got today, was one of the best, if not the best pie I have ever had. Magnificent!! 5 stars

We stopped here for a late morning snack and got the steak & cheese pie. It was hot and had flaky crust that was filled with tender steak, cheese and gravy. It is a small takeaway shop but the service was quick and friendly.

I've had pies at countless bakeries in New Zealand but the porkbelly pies from this place have yet to be topped.

If I could give 10stars I would. So hard to find a really good pie these days. Had the 6hr slow cooked braised beef and it is probably the best pie I've had in 15yrs. Loved the pastry also. After living in Australia most of my life, I've tried plenty of pies and this place tops them all. Great price also for such a great pie

Love their steak pies & chic with mushrooms pies. I was not a fan of pie till I tried theirs at The Butcher’s Pie Shop, reasonably priced with awesome quality. The pie was made to taste deliciously-presumably the best pie in NZ?
