This restaurant has so many great reviews, and you can see why. The food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it. I asked for a Thai hot 🔥 🥵 and it was a perfect heat. What let it down was that the sliced meat 🍖 was a tad chewy and took some eating. The staff were tuned in to the service, and our table was well looked after. The upstairs room where we had our dinner 🍽 was a little stuffy and could have done with some circulation like a fan or aircon. So the lost stars at the top were for those two things. The meat and the lack of air movement. Otherwise, it was a pleasant night spent with my oldest sister, who turned 80 that week and all my other nieces and lovely sisters. Would I revisit again. Of course. It's a lovely successful business Two little things couldn't ruin a great night ✨️ 👍

We had a wonderful farewell for my son and it was a group of 18 . The food was absolutely yummy and I would give it 10/10 . The duty manager Kristine was really lovely and picked all our set menu dishes . Beef cheek curry just melted in your mouth, crispy duck, pad Thai, beef salad all cooked to perfection. My personal favourite was the wontons and curry puffs , cocktails in a pineapple so cool, They catered to our food allergies as well, lovely atmosphere 🥰 I really wanted some mango sticky rice but was to full 😊

The 2 of us wandered in without a booking. It was very busy, but after a short wait we were fixed up with a drink, while Jules found a table for us. The restaurant is warm and inviting. Drinks and cocktails good. We got to our table and Jules gave us some suggestions. We ordered a salmon green curry and beef cheek curry. Both very tasty and good sized portions. Beef cheek just melted. We were full and couldn’t finish them. The waitress happily and efficiently boxed up the leftovers. The service was very good throughout, the ambience and vibe was good and food very nice. Overall a very nice night out and highly recommend . Thanks Jules and team

Everything here is incredible! The food is so delicious and beautifully presented, the service is so friendly and cheerful and the ambiance is also amazing We had a coeliac in our group and nothing was a hassle, almost every single dish can be made gluten free, so this is a fantastic spot to come! The cocktail list was delicious and we made a good dent in trying the entire list, the house special is certainly one to enjoy. Ordered the Pad Se-Ew, the Massaman lamb curry, garlic chicken and seared lemon salmon and my goodness those were all incredible and so delicious I could happily eat them for the rest of my life! The people working clearly cared so much about their jobs and delivering exceptional service, cheerful banter and they made every single patron feel welcomed, so do yourself a favour and come here

Most tender salmon we’ve EVER had!!! All the dishes were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. We loved everything we ordered, extremely tasty. Big thank you to Thai Orchid Restaurant for also offering gluten free options and being open on Christmas Day. If we are ever back in Christchurch we will visit again! 🍍

Excellent experience! It has just become one of our favourite restaurants ❤️ We went to have our dinner. We were warmly greeted and welcomed. Although we did not have a booking, it was wee waiting time for us to be seated. Jules is a great person with great hospitality skills. He gave us a detailed introduction to the menu and told us about the restaurant specials! The staffs were friendly, full of smile and helpful 😊 We ordered Chicken Tom Yum Soup, Chicken Wings, Pad Thai Beef and Chicken Green Curry. Food were delicious and the Tom Yum Soup was the best we ever had 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Overall a fantastic experience! The restaurant is nicely decorated, great ambience. Will definitely go back 😊
