Coriander's

There's no better Indian food I've ever tried in Christchurch, but even though we booked in advance our table wasn't certain, and when the four of us were finally seated we found it hard to hear each other in the booth we were in. It also took a very long time to be served, though service was very friendly when it came. Once the food was in front of us all was forgiven because it is just so good. Everything was cooked well and balanced wonderfully and what we couldn't eat made for even better leftovers. They did get some of our drinks mixed up, and too many times one of us had to go find someone to serve us, or else it would be an easy five stars. Even so, I'd definitely recommend this place without hesitation for the food alone, and their mango lassi too.

We enjoyed our experience overall and would recommend this restaurant. However, I was very surprised and disappointed to see a so-called Mastercard tip of $5.32 included on the bill that I was not made aware of at the time of payment. This is bad practice and needs to be tidied up. Tipping is not an assumed cost to dine in New Zealand.

Thank you for hosting our work do! What GREAT service! GREAT food! So well organized and easy to deal with! A nice touch bringing out everyone's orders by names and having plenty of staff on to help move things along quickly. Awesome Atmosphere!! And plenty of food.. even extra to take home! We will be BACK! =)
