I decided to try takeout here in order to support a local business during the covid pandemic.
After a couple of unanswered calls, I was able to place an order and was told my order (an Italian sub) would be ready in about 30 minutes.
When I went to pick up my order, I was surprised to find nearly every dining booth packed and many people at the bar chatting loudly with no masks on. I was also surprised at the lack of ventilation (no windows or doors were open) as well as how small the space was. There was only a single bartender working and tending to all the guests, and it took an additional 10 minutes before he was ready for me to pick up my order.
After I returned home to see if my Italian sub had been worth the 40 min wait and potential covid exposure, I was slightly disappointed. It was a simple sub that I could have thrown together myself with a toaster oven and at most 10 minutes of my time.
While I'm sure the pizza here is wonderful, and the atmosphere amazing judging from the other reviews, I will not be giving this local business any more support until after the pandemic is over and they are able to be better staffed.

This place has a great "old school" Wisconsin-style thin crust pizza where toppings go right to the edge. The staff and atmosphere are also great.

Great neighborhood spot. You can go dressed up or down and either way you are going to feel at home!
Pizza was good and the garden salad was actually a pretty good deal for what you get. I personally did take control of the juke box but a friend did and it was a ton of fun!

The glasses are short, but so are the prices. Good atmosphere, and friendly Staff... perfect for a short stop before walking home from the train.

I can honestly say I did not enjoy eating at Gino's. Though the restaurant itself is nice, the food was like an Olive Garden meal when the chef had been going through a tough spot. Barely warm, and with a red sauce that made my Italian family members clutch their hearts in sadness 400 miles away. Service was good, but if you are looking for a tasty meal, you may want to look elsewhere.
