If this Subway was outside of Chicago, I would rate it lower, but since all fast food restaurants downtown have terrible service, I’d say their’s is pretty average. The problem I have with them is that they don’t pay attention when you’re telling them what to put on your sandwich. Sometimes there’s a language barrier, but more frequently it’s just carelessness and apathy. After they inevitably make the sandwich incorrectly while ignoring what you’re saying to them, it’s very difficult to get them to start over. I’ve spoken to the manager about this repeated problem, but he seems not to even pretend to care, so take this all for what it’s worth... hopefully your luck will be better than mine. The food itself is consistent with any other Subway... no better, no worse.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!
I've been a longtime and loyal subway customer. Most experiences have been very positive, but lately the customer service at this location has been a complete disgrace.
I'm a huge fan of the breakfast sandwich and like to load it up with veggies. The rude employee there straight up cut me off from adding veggies on the sandwich last week. She said (in broken English) that "its a breakfast sandwich and there's no veggies on there." And then she folded up my sandwich and rang me up.
Are you kidding me?!?? Is that subway protocol to not put veggies on breakfast sandwiches? I should have asked show me where it says no veggies?
But, I was so upset with the transaction that I decided to not go back until today. (I used to go 3 days a week for lunch)
Today it was the same story. Very rude employee, who put one small onion on my sandwich when I asked for more. Then said that "you don't get veggies on breakfast subs"
I was so upset, that I couldn't even finish my lunch. I've always enjoyed eating subway, but with this last experience, I'm completely done with this location. I won't say that I'll never eat subway again, but I definitely won't return to this location.
Advice to owner: Hire friendly people with good customer service skills.

No surprise they are really busy around lunch time but the staff was quick and friendly so no complaints here. I was really disappointed because some of the vegetables were visibly frozen, for example the frosty onions. The other reviewer is right, it does have great views of the river and surrounding architecture. I will give them another try and hope they are a bit more together!

Why have hours that say open til 12am when you're never open past 10pm. Been going here every now and again for a while now over the past four years since i work nearby. Past couple of times i've gone there i've either walked up to the door while staff was inside but it was locked, or the lights were completely off with no one in sight. This is around 10-10:30pm.
Maybe a staff adjustment is needed. Stop hiring lazy people who close early so they can go home. Or else change your hours.
I would think working at subway, you would want to be there as long as possible as an employee to make extra money since im assuming the pay isn't all that great. But that's just what a democrat would do i guess. Lazy, complains about having to work, yet also complains about not making enough money, but won't put the hours in. They're their own worst enemies yet blame the world for their inability to take responsibility for their actions and their lives. Sad.
And all of this because making sandwiches is soooo taxing on your physical person. It's almost like people need to grow up and become adults.

I think this establishment is seriously lacking in the human Resources/customer service department. I do not understand how their recruiting process gets done however, there is a man whom seems to feel very entitled. I called to make a substantial order and he hung up on me. I shook that off and simply walked over on my break. I walked in and over heard a very distasteful conversation. I don't believe he thought i knew Spanish. The gist of what i heard is him discriminating against his own coworkers, not solemnly with racist comments but with age like down right ignorant puns. I was gonna order but i saw the look on the insulted workers face and i couldn't support a place like that.I then tried to talk to a manager, apparently not there. I tried calling their hotline and they completely ignored me, how wonderful! I personally and professionally find this revolting. Boycotting Subway along with other people i shared this with. My office now eats from POTBELLY'S OR JIMMY JOHNS! great sandwiches plus great workers!
P.S.
workers name is Uriel or something like that .... I really hope karma gets him! ugh.

Don't expect much from Subway. I live in the same building as the subway, so if you say you are open to midnight I would expect you to be open to midnight. I should be able to walk down stairs at 1145pm and get dinner after working late. I called and was told that they were slow so they closed early and as I was at the door two other people tried to open the door. Change your hours if you don't want to staying open till midnight. #Subwayfails

It's a pretty typical Subway restaurant with a standard menu and service. However, you get great views of the Chicago River from here! This location gets a little less traffic than many other quick bites in the loop area, so it's a great stop if you want to slow down and enjoy the views. It's a bit of a maze to find the entrance, but if you wander around a bit, you'll stumble upon it.

Went in today just before lunch to get a footlong sandwich and watch football. I only had a choice of six inch rye bread or if I wanted a footlong only flatbread. The only other person there was behind me started laughing and he like me, simply walked out. When they first opened they were really good, but I think they’re getting ready to close this Subway. It’s seems empty most of the time now and now I know why.
