The Adana kebab was amazing. The beef platter wasn't as good. The staff are really nice. My biggest criticism: the portions are super small for a hungry person and the price is too high for that portion size. We paid $50 for two and we were not full when we left the place.

Excellent mixed grill and lentil soup. Nice side salad too but just a little too much lemon juice. Very pleasant atmosphere and customer service. Reasonable prices.

Stopped in Galata several times and very satisfied with the quality and quantity of their foods. If you leave hungry, it’s your own fault. Very friendly and lovely staff, authentic and cozy atmosphere. There is parking lot right next to it, $2 for 2 hours. Will certainly stop in again and again.

If you happen to like the Turkish cuisine or more generally Mediterranean food, this is a good option. Nice restaurant in a good location on Maxwell St. with the option to sit outside during summer. The food is very tasty. The menu is not very extensive but not too limited either. It is not extremelly expensive but less affordable than other Meditereanean restaurants while the portions are smaller. The owner and the servers are super nice.

This was my first Turkish restaurant experience in Chicago. And it was delicious. This place is located on a cozy street. Owner and the staff is very hospitable. I recommend you to try their meze plate, iskender kebab, falafel and kofte(meetballs). You can also find Raki and Efes beer(local Turkish beer) here. I will definetely come back here again

Modest seating area with reasonably priced dishes although as some reviewers have mentioned, portions are a bit on the smaller side - don’t expect to share a platter. Manti was average, Iskender Kebab was amazing! Very friendly employees.

Stopped with my husband last week to try Turkish food. It was delicious, quiet and clean. I had wrap with meatballs, it is worth each penny and even more

Really enjoyed the experience of eating at Galata. The service, which is always the first thing you notice at a restaurant, was superb! Our waitress was prompt and friendly and offered suggestions when asked for. The food was tasty and the owner, Murat was friendly and stopped by our table to see if we were satisfied and enjoying our dinner.
The Turkish beer was a great suggestion by our waitress, the appetizer we chose, Borek, was a tasty, feta cheese in crispy phyllo dough, and the chocolate moose cake was a great end to our meal.
Totally recommend this establishment!!!
