This place is getting a five star raring from me, not because of their popcorn, I've never had it! but one thing I do miss is the smell of burnt popcorn that spread throughout Millenium Station. Don't get me wrong the smell is pretty pungent but it's at least ten times better than the smell of urine left behind permeating unto all the available seats. There was a time that the smell of popcorn was so bad I was just about to leave a 1 star rating but no more. I'd rather get nose full of charred kernels than someone's fermented underwear.

I worked with Satish on a catering order and everything went very well. The bulk pricing was very reasonable, delivery was on time and all the guests really enjoyed the popcorn. I would highly recommend using Chicago Kernel for event catering.

My review is based upon a past experience, but it was certainly 5 star ready when managed by Mr. Washington. I've not had it since new management, but I would hope they have not changed the flavor of the popcorn or the courtesy and consistency of the service

As of today this place is under new management and I see and taste the difference already. The previous staff were more welcoming and the daily specials were worth the stop. I went in today asked for the special in which the cashier charged me for the single and the associate didn't even bothered to prepare the second bag. In addition the special is on "selected" items. I wished I would have know that. I would have kept walking. Oh well back to Garrett's�

This used to be my absolute FAVORITE popcorn! (Much, much better than Garrett.) Then it was sold. Now, it's just not the same. Very sad. There used to be a large location on South State Street. That closed. All that's left now is the Millennium Station location where the employees are marginal. Sigh. With the right management, Chicago Kernel could have crushed Garrett. Disappointed in the changes.

I LOVE this popcorn! The Caramel is the best I have EVER eaten! It tastes like Butter Toffee! The flavor is so rich. Actually I love all the flavors I have tried! We just got some from a friend and I don't think I will be sharing with my husband. Beats any popcorn out there!
