Love this place! Stopped in on a freezing May Day, but was perfect. I love when there are no lines. They have the best candy selection. Some old school favorites!! And of course “new” selections for our current generation! Their custard was amazing. Not super sweet and a fabulous texture. Typically only vanilla, chocolate and a special rotating flavor. Tons of toppings to add on top or in as a concrete. Plus, huge bonus, great coffee!! And and even bigger bonus, great friendly staff. Street parking surrounding, pay at box.

This is a great place to help that sweet tooth 🦷 in all of us. The frozen custard dishes are amazing as are the baked goods. They also have a candy section that is like a walk down memory lane. You will see candies that you haven't seen in years (or decades). Well worth the trip no matter how far away you are.

Lickety split never disappoints! Great neighborhood spot in West Ridge! Custard is yummy and topping choices are endless! The candy just makes you feel like a kid again.

I loved the inside vibe! Great place to come right after going to the beach. I got there root beer float and it was delicious! Would definitely come back!

They open at 3pm for fall hours. They opened for us 5 minutes early, which was great. Service was extraordinary, selection of candy is unmatched, and they have a solid selection of baked goods like cookies, and cupcakes, not to mention peanut butter brownies (pictured!) and more. My kids were excited to be able to pick one candy, and both went for things they'd "never even knew existed!" which was fun. There is metered parking on Western, amd you probably need only 15 minutes, which is less than a dollar, but there's also free parking on the side streets near the public park.

A very cute frozen custard shop with lots of toppings (at least 40!) and tasty flavor combinations.
They also have a sizable selection of candies and vintage sodas. And there's outdoor seating when the weather is nice! A sweet way to spend an afternoon.

At Lickety Split Chicago I discovered peanut butter frozen custard. They made me an awesome caramel malt. They have a fun variety of vintage sodas too.

Coffee Gelato is the best!!
Well now, maybe peppermint is the best!
Service is great and the old fashioned candy selection is almost never-ending!

Tasty custard and a whole lot of candy options. My concrete was a little under mixed but I was able to remedy that with my spoon.

This place is great all around. Staff and owners are wonderful. The vintage candy, crazy soda flavors, baked goods, coffee, are just icing on top of this great custard 'cake!'

Prices were average, sweets were great, place is a bit small, but very cafe style.

This is a great neighborhood ice cream and novelty candy shop. My kids have been practicing going in and ordering/paying on their own. The staff is always friendly and kind, especially the young woman with the black mask and hoops today, she was particularly patient.

I love it I had the cookies and crème with pretzels and cookie crushed up I loved it and I wanted more I got the Dr Pepper cotton candy and when I bought it and walked outside I checked the expiration date it expired 2 months ago so over all I recommend but if you buy anything wrapped up I advise you check the expiration date before buying I still ate the cotton candy though 😁😁(my girlfriend got a stomach ache after eating it not me tho)🙅🏾😍💯😎

Ordered two sundaes and a pupcup, mine was the one with the red velvet cake and my boyfriend’s was the berry cheesecake one. We both agreed that they were probably the best sundaes we ever had. The store itself was very cute and the worker was very polite.

What a fun dessert spot. Beyond very creative and delicious custards where they will mix in the various cakes or cookies or brownies they sell a la carte, they have one of the most complete collections of nostalgic candy i have ever seen. I can't remember the last time I say Charleston Chews or candy (bubble gum) cigarettes or those wax lips. Very cool.
