If you want a real Chicago Italian beef, this is the spot. Way better than Portillo's with faster and friendlier service. We got the beef dry but the meat was so juicy that the bread was nice and soft while eating. They also do not skimp on the meat! The Chicago dog was pretty good but the beef was the star. I'd love to try their other food but I don't think of want to order anything but that beef. Give them a shot and you won't be disappointed.

Seriously good. Jay’s Beef is the best beef in Chicago, i’ve had them all nothing compares. The peppers are so good and you can’t find them anywhere else. The fries are made to order too so they are fresh and hot.

I have been ordering food in here for quite a lot of times. It is just basically a fast food where you could get food literally in a quick. This place is kind of small but the food in here is really good. The food is good and the prices are definitely cheap, I can say fair and reasonable too. Their Italian beef sandwich is my favorite food of them. I have not explored their menu that much because when I first eat their Italian beef sandwich, I tell myself that I would continue buying this so that is what I would always order for those times that I would visit this place. Their Italian beef sandwich is definitely authentic, always served freshly cooked and hot with perfect seasoning and of course delicious flavor. The staff in here is also quite nice and friendly. This is not probably the best spot where I could have Italian beef sandwich but I really love their Italian beef and even though there is a better one I will still continue to visit in here and order their Italian beef.

Efficient service and reasonably priced (good portion for the Italian beef sandwich and French fries). The beef had nice flavors, but I am not a big fan of its “unique” hot peppers - a little too spicy and lack the acidity and sweetness of the more traditional giardiniera peppers.

This beef is super good and definitely significantly better than portillos. Their hot peppers are quite unique as well and I’d highly recommend adding those and provolone cheese. Onion rings were cooked perfectly!

Best discovery of the neighborhood. Jay’s beef is sooooo good. Italian beef is incredible! Cheeseburger is dope. Fries, great and the chocolate milkshake… so, so good. My husband and I like to split an Italian beef sandwich and cheeseburger and a small fry, really filling!

Absolutely the best tasting Italian beef!!! I will definitely be ordering again! I had the cheesy beef with sweet peppers. The delivery guy was very nice as well! My kids enjoyed eating the pizza puff with fries and cheese on the side ;-) nothing went to waste and we were all happy :-)

Good food,but lazy,not very friendly service..I had to put down my juicy combo,and with greasy hands go up and get my own change because they didn't have change for a $100 in the register..One of the 4 guys working behind the counter couldn't bring it to me?
