Review Bacolod Chicken Haus - Chicago

The boodle-boodle caught our eye, and we ordered this festive feast for Mothers Day. It’s proportioned for 5 but there’ll be plenty to share + leftovers. Must order the feast 24 in advance! Absolutely worth it. My mom enjoyed it so much that we came back the next week and I got to try their halo-halo. Love their version, huge portion, also plenty to share. Excellent, kind and attentive service each time. Clean, cozy, colorful environment. No parking lot but street parking in front of the building and around the block is reasonably available.

My husband and I invited our friends to dine in this homey Filipino Restaurant. Authentic Filipino Dishes! We enjoyed the platter which is good for 4 people. The Dinuguan , kare kare , egg rolls snd kaderetang kambing is scrumptious! You want desserts? Try their jumbo sized Halo Halo! One order can share with 4 people! Halo Halo is tagalog for MIXED. It is a popular dessert in the Philippines made up of crushed ice, milk, leche flan and a lot of sweet fillings! Must try it! 😊😊😊 btw kudos to the staff who are so so friendly!! Thanks for the birthday greeting!! Appreciate you all

Authentic Filipino dishes. Generous servings. Batchoy is really delicious and they have a vast selection of appetizers and entree. Balut is also available if you're craving for one and the place is spacious with really pretty Filipino fiesta decors. Must visit for Filipinos living in Chicago

Good food, good location and good price. I ordered the chicken inasal with mini batchoy combination and a side order of lumpia appetizer. The portion size of the batchoy was really good and tasty coupled with the chicken which was bigger than I'm usually accustomed to compared to the other restaurant in Niles just of golf rd. Very happy to try them and im sure to be back to sample their other menus. They also have a family combo good for 4 which offers a good combination of food choices at reasonable price point, so im planning to bring some friends here for that.

We had a great 👍 boodle feast experienced! Good for 5 person, charges $25 per person. The turon (plantain banana) is divine! You have to call for reservation and arrived on time. We will definitely be back with friends and families!

Drove over an hour from Plainfield just to try this place. It was worth the drive. All the food we got was delicious. Definitely try their signature dishes. We'll definitely be back.

6/27/21 COVID UPDATE Still requiring masks for entry. No limits on capacity. I tried the Halo-Halo (literally means "Mix-Mix" because it contains around 7-9 different sweets in there such as shaved ice on top, coconut strips 3 inches long, cubed yams/flan/and something else orange softer than yams, small red beans, small clear lychee, evaporated milk, cubed green & red jellies, red fruit preserve/jams, topped ube purple ice cream and frosted flakes) here which is $7 each. They were not as sweet as I thought it would be which is a good thing! I only don't think the to-go container since it's in a drinking plastic container which makes it hard to eat the bottom ingredients. A bowl would be better! Overall enjoyed it, after I poured it in my glass bowl at home.

Great Filipino dishes. Friendly and accommodating staff. I love their halo-halo. A must visit to Filipinos missing home cooking. Highly recommended.

The chicken barbecue is pretty good. On the other hand, the sisig which is served on a sizzling plate, while delicious can use a little more hot peppers. The place feels cramped and the Venetian masks decor in a Filipino restaurant doesn't really make sense

I am wanting to meet up & interview J.P. Ledesma for my food/travel blog. I heard about you from my cousin Bambi ( Christine ). I am also Ilonggo from Jaro. I plan to be in your area 8/29. Heard about your awesome batchoy.

I came here for the batchoy and inasal since I’m originally from Bacolod City. Ended up buying food for the rest of the week to go. Great customer service and the halo halo serving alone can feed 3 people…. Glad that this place is here, highly recommend

Great experience! Never had Philippine food and I went all in with the help of the staff. Great food at a great price.

Friendly staff, good service, decent food although menu is somewhat not accurate. An entry on the menu was no longer served so call before going for a specific order. Otherwise good food, okay selection, and good service.

Food was good but pricey...more expensive than what other Filipino restaurants charge.

Authentic Philippine food from the City of Smiles (Bacolod City). Servings are freshly prepared with very affordable price... Feels like home to me.

A post wedding lunch for 22 Michiganders who has never experienced "Boodle Fight". Everyone loved the spread, the menu, huge portions, enough for everyone to have a take home box. Clean and hospitable. Will definitely recommend to friends visiting Chicago

Great chocolate turon👍😀yummy👏. They served right away the appetizer, eggroll etc. I like the pickled side dressing too of the chicken inasal. Hope later they will add fish ( kinilaw). Over all great service, food is tasty and the price is very reasonable.

Great batchoy! Better if hot. Go for the house specialty. Add sisig & chicharon bituka for a champions meal. Karaoke 🎤 as you dine available upon request. But, don't do it if you're scoring less than 90. BYOB establishment. Free parking available behind restaurant. Otherwise, it's $4/2 hour street parking up to 10 pm on weekdays. Come for the chicken. Stay for the karaoke.

This restaurant has quality food and great service. It's the perfect comfort food. I would recommend this to my friends and family.

Great food, unique flavor. Busy inside sat. Nights. Eating without plates was an odd visual (I did take out) they put all the food on the table, chicken rice and veggies and you just grab it.

We had the Boodle feast, and let me tell you it was a meal fit for a King and Queen, and many friends. Excellent and delicious food, and fantastic service. We'll be back! Remember bring your appetite!

It's a home away from home - a cultural heritage icon and a pure interpretation of the Filipino people and the Philippines! So proud of JP And his efforts to bring about this taste and food that we all loved and missed.
