Nice place! I had the spicy stir fried udon noodles and kappa maki rolls, and my friend ordered the turtle roll. I loved the presentation, and the food was delicious. Great service as well. Will definitely go back!

The rolls here are pretty amazing. They strive to be unique in their choices of ingredients in each roll and it pays off. They have really tasty rolls. Be sure to try to Dragon and Rainbow rolls.
The portions are fairly substantial. 2-3 rolls should be good for 2 people, depending on how hungry you are. The decor is very modern. If you did not look at the menu, you would not think that this is a Japanese restaurant. the service was pretty good despite a full house when I went.
Overall, this place serves up decent Japanese fare with a twist, at a decent price for an enjoyable meal.

Very nice. Great service. The taste is different from the pad Thai on the location on California Ave. That's the only reason I gave 4 and not 5 star. The sushi is a little smaller too. Thai iced tea is sooo good!!

This is my first time trying it and I lived It. The roles are very fresh, the soup was delicious and my green bubble tea was a perfect desert. I’m all about supporting local businesses (especially during this uneasy times) and I will Definitely be back for more and hopefully dine in there soon.

I had a really great experience here. The first time I tried this place was through pickup. The food was great and plenty for the price. I noticed the place was well decorated and decided to go in on another occasion to dine in.
I was very happy with the quick and friendly service as well as how quickly the meals were prepared for me. I ordered the Spicy Miso Soup, Spicy Salmon Roll, and Fried Rice. No regrets and well worth the price. Again, the place is well decorated and made the whole experience enjoyable.

This is a review of the Belmont/California location, which has been open for a year or so and is just what the neighborhood needed - a top-notch casual sushi/Thai restaurant where there isn't one. This place is walking distance from my house and I've never been disappointed. I love noodle dishes and sushi, and Jai Yen does an excellent job with both. Prices are very reasonable and service is speedy and friendly.
