Review Three Happiness Restaurant - Chicago

I got the plain fried rice with no beans sprouts an extra egg. That is what you see in this photo. It was good. I also ordered the spicy beef. I wanted it to be like the Beijing beef from Panda express. They told me that it was and I was very sad when I got it. It’s this big beef stew that does not taste good & was oddly spicy. Nevertheless, the plain fried rice was good. Dark fried rice it’s a bit sweet because of the dark soy sauce it’s cooked in. I enjoyed my rice and the extra egg on top was great.

Interesting taste of China, highly recommended the curry chicken for a plate full of flavor! Ft the three happiness special noodle soup

I went here because several people said that it was the best in Chinatown. I have not tried every restaurant here, but this was by far the best Chinese food that I have ever eaten. Highly recommended. Affordable and delicious.

Bathroom was a little small and dirty, and it took like 20 min to get food, but it was good and also very cheep for lots of food

Great little gem of a restaurant in the heart of Chinatown. The service was great. The food was fast and fresh, absolutely will be going back

Gotta admit if you want Chinese food gotta come to Chinatown. I got the combination rice and it was phenomenal 9.3. Their sweet n sour sauce is perfect for the added flavor to their fried rice. Also got the crab rangoon and yes sirrr these things are a bangin'...i mean brah it's better than any crab rangoon I've had 9.2....hit it with the sweet n sour sauce chef kiss💪🏾. A couple of egg rolls and it is a quality meal after you had a few drinks. Overall, 9.1...you would mistake the appearance of this place and miss out on the food. Must try.

Great food; portions are shareable, and it's not greasy. We love the ho fun noodles. Late hours are convenient for carry out. The inside is outdated and I wouldn't consider it a fancy restaurant. There's only street parking or public lot, both you have to pay for

I thought the food was delicious and generous portioned, but be aware that many dim sum items are not available. They have an extensive menu which is quite impressive. While my service was great and friendly, I did observe another customer receiving less friendly service.

Be prepared to wait! I suggest calling your order in. Food is fresh, hot, and delicious! Best egg foo young I’ve ever had.

Food is always amazing! When the craving hits my family and I drive over an hour 1 way to have 3 Happiness. Some regular favorites are beef and pea pods, beef chow fun, sweet and sour chicken, and combination fried rice. Only downside is the place is very small, maybe 6 tables max. And if using the restrooms, don't be claustrophobic getting to them. Despite those couple of somewhat negatives, it's soooo worth it!

Absolutely delicious flavors. In a tough neighborhood, but it's worth it. Ordered the sweet and sour pork, pork fried rice, and the chicken w broccoli... The pork fried rice was outstanding and the chicken w broccoli I wish I could get like they cook it here at home in NY. Happy to give my business.

I been a long time customer since the 80s it’s still a fantastic old school spot in Chinatown. The chow fung noodle with beef was excellent as well as the egg rolls homemade sweet and sour.

Chinese food with no frills. You’ll be satisfied if your aim is to fill your belly with Chinese food. Great portions at very decent prices. Everything was hot and fresh with the exception of the egg rolls which tasted re-fried. Service was also minimal, but we went for Chinese food and that was exactly what we got.

I loved the food! It was amazing! I'll go back everytime I'm in Chicago! Be sure to come hungry because they hook it up on the portion size! The only reason I take one star off is because they are always out of sea cucumber, and it's all over the menu. I always wanted to try one maybe they will get some soon!?
