The best of the best. The only real Philly cheesesteak in all of Chicago. Popped it in the oven for a nice crisp.
It’s amazing, they put so much meat on it. I ask for extra Mayo, so that’s why there is so much of it on my sandwich. Love Montis food and the staff is great. The lady for pick up orders there is very kind.

I’m a vegetarian so it’s always hard to find a place that both me and my spouse will equally enjoy, but this place was the bomb. Attentive service and loved the bartender’s suggestions for a beer and the rocky pepper sauce. My meat eating partner had the authentic Philly and said it was one of the best in his life. My (I’m guessing seitan) sandwich was also phenomenal. Definitely looking forward to coming here again.

So Monti's was recommended, and we were first-time dinners. We got the special lunch, Philly steak and chili. It was reasonably priced. The entire meal was delicious. I especially enjoyed the chili. It had a great homemade taste. It's definitely a nice neighborhood spot. Good food! We'll be back.

Omggg, I’m such a picky eater. I did not pick over my sandwich, I literally ate every single bite. I ordered the rocky I added shrooms and aged cheddar. As I get older and my taste buds change I crave quality. This was a quality sandwich, not greasy, not falling apart, flavorful and delicious. I was greeted once I entered and the staff was very friendly. I’ll definitely be back soon. As my first time I’ll admit this was the best Philly in Chicago hands down and I’ve been eating phillys around the city all my life.

I haven’t been here in awhile, but let me tell you they didn’t skip a beat. Very clean establishment. Definitely team oriented. Our server I believe was the owner was on point. He made sure that we had everything we needed and the food was great. I highly recommend the traditional Philly Cheesesteak. Reasonably priced and an all around good experience. Only complaint I have is that we ordered a bowl of chili and there was no fixins on it. No cheese, onion, nothing to dress it up. But everything else made up for it. Very great time and good here.

A hidden gem for sure! Are you in the mood for a great Philly Cheesesteak? If yes, and you also like a kick of spice, try The Rocky Cheesesteak; it's a favorite here with fries or salad. Also, on one wall, a shelf of more sauces/spices is there for you to pick from, if you feel the need to experiment with your taste buds. The staff, on whatever day you decide to visit, is always super friendly and you won't have to worry about unsanitary restrooms at this place. Big thumbs up

The steak sandwiches was excellent(usually) but today idk who was in the kitchen playing chef I ordered here 30plus times delivery it's usually always on point super hot and lots of meat and veggies.... tonight however ughhhhh I was hungry too it had way more veggies than meat and it was luke warm it was like one layer of meat and I know it was not cooked to order because it was not hott like it usually be ughh maybe I should have ordered earlier maybe the chef tired idk 😐 delivery was early too the meat tho it usually be just enough to have that extra meat after the sandwich like fries at the bottom of the bag lol seriously 😒 usually I get the 12 inch to have the other half in the morning not this time I had to eat all of it oh well win sum and loose sum.

The host was great! I never like to tip because people be rude or misguiding, but I felt the connection from them so I did today! They come from Philadelphia lol no Italian beef with the dipping sauce fyi! Food was on time I thought I would be waiting forever and they are quick. Such a good cheesesteak! We got it delivered and it held up really well, along with the fries (and added cheese). I thought the cheese fries might have a cheese sauce and it was instead melted cheese, but still great!
The large size sandwich is definitely enough for two people!

First thing I noticed about this place is that I have visited this place before in 2018 or earlier but I cannot recall why! But I order 2 Philly staples: their traditional cheesesteak and roast pork w/ broccoli rabe grinder. Both was very tasty! The cheesesteak was tender, cheesy and the meat crumbled with each bite since it was chopped up. The broccoli rabe gave a nice sharp tart contrast to the roast pork and provolone. However, the pork was a bit too dry for my preference. Still a very good Philly representation.

Amazing, my childhood foodie dream has finally been satisfied 20 years later. Once I found out about Monti's, while Google-searching for must-try philly cheese steak sandwich (AKA The Italian Beef) so delicious, seriously the best out of all the places I have tried over the years. I got the sampler and chose the Johnny southside, a spicy one with jalapeños and serrano peppers 🔥😋, and a normal Italian beef. All so delicious, really can taste the juicy ribeye/meat they use, tender meat, good amount of crisp and char here and there, the hoagie bread so fluffy and soft, yet firm enough to hold all the fillings. Will come back again, next time I'm in Chicago.

The Philly steak sandwich was very good. The fries were just as good. Service was stellar, nice vibe. My family enjoyed their meals. Was on the pricey side, but that's usually the case for a real Philly sandwich.

Cozy neighborhood bar feel, not a ton of space gives a more intimate feel. Staff was very nice and the Philly cheesesteak is above average for Philadelphia standard. Ranks tops in Chicagoland in my mind. . What I enjoyed the most was the fries- make sure to ask for the old bay on em free of charge.

I’ve been ordering Monti’s for years now and have some how never written a google review, so here we go…
AMAZING! Hands down! This is probably my favorite sandwich in all of Chicago. Yes, a Chicago girl in love with a sandwich from Philly. But seriously it’s the best. The meat, the onions, the gooey cheese, and those soft Amoroso rolls. When I bite into a Monti’s cheesesteak sometimes I think I’ve died and gone to heaven because it’s just so good.
My boyfriend gets the Rocky with extra rocky peppers and extra onions, and I get the authentic with aged cheddar and white American. I’ve had this sandwich probably over 50 times and they are so consistent which is why we keep coming back for more.
Also, don’t forget to add an order of Rocky Wings. Probably my favorite wings in all of Chicago. Especially when dining in on a Sunday after a night of drinking heavily.
We miss the darkly lit and cozy atmosphere of the restaurant and can’t wait until we can dine in again for cheesesteak bliss.
So anyway, Thank you all at Monti’s for your dedication to making these delicious sandwiches. We love you forever.

We have been going to Monti's since we moved to the neighborhood two years ago and it doesn't disappoint!
They have the most delicious cheesesteaks in the city. They have a variety but our favorite is the Rocky, which has tasty scotch bonnet, serrano and jalepeno peppers. The buffalo chicken wings are also at the top of our list!
We were a little disappointed with the cider selection. The menu lists many options but just recently we were told they were out of a lot. Hopefully that changes because we love variety.
Great place for food, music and conversation.

I had heard good things about Monti's. I stopped in with the girlfriend. She enjoyed some type of salad while I went with the Philly cheesesteak. I got the larger version which ran $13.95. It was lunch and a bit early for me for drinking beer. This made me sad as Monti's has a lot of variety in their beer selection. Not cheap though.
They have several varieties of cheesesteak, but I went with the standard and asked to hold the veggies so just meat and cheese. The bread was soft, the portions good. The quality of the meat and cheese were enough that I'd gladly eat there again.
Had tea and the girlfriend had ginger ale.
Total cost was under $30 which is expensive for lunch but I could have went with a smaller sandwich and it did come with some delicious fries. They were crisp and hot.
If you're looking for a solid cheesesteak and are a fan of beer and the varieties of beer available these days, Monti's has you covered.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I thought the Philly Cheesesteak was just meh at best. A mini cost 7.95 and a regular size is 10.95. They say they use Black Angus ribeye, but it taste like it's not. I have been to Philly and Steve's on Comly Rd puts this place to shame. Plus the female owner was quite rude. I don't know how this place is getting the positive reviews but to each is own. I will not be returning at all.

The food was amazing and the beer selection was great. Would prefer to have more on tap to choose from. However was very pleased with the selection. The server was very knowledgeable and personable. The menu was extensive. Lots of choices. The prices are very reasonable.

We were at this incredible find last weekend. Best GF philly, Italian and beer in town. Impeccable service. Perfect destination to watch a little football too. Loved it. My daughter and I have celiac disease and never felt better. Thanks! We will be back when we are back in town.

My friends and I had such a great time at Monti's last night! Everything we ordered was delicious! Loved that they even had a vegetarian version of a cheesestake. Can't wait to go back. Oh and the owners...those are some good people! You can tell they use quality ingredients and want to serve you the best.

Cheesesteak was great. Great place to catch a bite to eat and a drink before a show at the Riviera . Me and the wife live on the far sw side and saw this place on Chicagos Best so had to try it since we were in Uptown for a concert.
