I'm slowly becoming a bigger fan of this place. The have a few brews the do right in house. Always rotating. I recommend trying a few. They are all great. Menu has many options from salads all the way up to some brisket platters. My experience is the food is above average for the area and decently priced. And don't forget the free cornbread. Very nice interior with a few tvs with sports one. Always great music playing at a nice level. Summertime allows you to sit on an outdoor patio. It has never really seemed to "fill" up in there, but maybe I have not been in on the right nights. Still one of the better spots on the strip of bars and restaurants in the area.

Spacious yet intimate, relaxed but hip. Everything on the menu I've had has been exceptional from steak tips to shrimp and grits. The meats are house smoked, and they make the best pastrami I've had. As for cocktails, you must try the Paloma, and the Mad Mouse beers are exceptional. It's well worth the drive to Maxwell street. And if you're in the area, what are you waiting for?

Great airy space with attentive staff and terrific food. The specialty cocktails are tasty especially the Moscow Mule and the Paper Plane. The gumbo had a nice little kick and the required gumbo file flavor. The stars on the menu are the pastrami sandwich, anything from the "smokehouse," and the plank salmon. Looking forward to some tasty beer coming out of the attached brewery.

Great service, AMAZING food!!! I cannot begin to express how awesome this place is. My new favorite spot in the city. I usually get the bbq ribs or the fish tacos. The shrimp and grits is the best thing on earth. You will not be disappointed.

I don't get downtown very often, but when I do I like to try new places. This was a Saturday afternoon and the lunch crowd was just starting to come in. Moxee has a Cajun theme with their own micro brew. Portions are good, very tasty. I'll be going back.

Lovely place! Great food, really friendly waiters! We started with fresh nacho's with guacomole and then had some smokehouse dishes! I'd recommend them all, they were excellent! I had a Hippie John to drink and it went along great with the food! Were definitly going back!

Everyone's doing craft beers these days, but this place rounds it out. If you like small batch beers, great food and deluxe cocktails, Moxee & Mad Mouse is well worth getting to know. The small plates -- like shrimp and grits, brussels sprouts and pork belly, fried green tomatoes, and steak tips marinated in chocolate bitters and stout -- are big enough to share, or sate you if you feel like eating light, or you can double up to get some of everything. On the big plates, the planked salmon is really good -- it came with sauteed spinach and creamy mashed potatoes. Their fish 'n chips uses house-made kolsh in the batter. The cod is super fresh and my 5yo loves it. Last time she and a friend shared it with a side of the mac and cheese (though they do have a kids menu, too). The BBQ is smoked in-house -- my dad loves the chicken and rib combo. This place is pretty easy for the gluten-free (try the salmon, pulled pork and nearly anything BBQ, red beans and rice, salads and the tasty vegetarian bean dish) and the kitchen can adapt some dishes, too, which I appreciate as a g/f diner. Just ask. My family has eaten here many times, and I've met friends for cocktails here. (Try the house-made egg nog. Holy moly!) So glad this place is here.

Just ordered delivery from Moxee's on a whim, suffice to say it will not be my last. CRAZY amount of great tasting food. Love the sauce, ribs and chicken combo is easily enough for 2 people ( or 2 - 3 meals ), mac and cheese is bonkers, and love the horse radish mash tatoes. Seriously good stuff. Kudos Moxee!

Great beer selection (not just the in-house brewed beers)!! I like how they try not to go overboard with crazy recipes for every beer, just solid standard tastes. Food is great also!

Moxee has so much potential and all of us who live in the neighborhood want to see it be a huge success! They have a ways to go, though, imo. It starts behind the bar (also my opinion). Why do we need to ask to put the White Sox or Cubs game on? Shouldn't this be automatic if one (or both) teams are playing? Why should we have to ask to turn on the sound for a Hawks playoff game, when everyone in the place is watching the game? I realize that you may not want to be a sports bar, but you have a huge Hawks banner right in the window. Also, what about drink specials during the week? The place can be pretty quiet during the week, why not try and attract some customers? We hope that you'll begin to do "the simple things" to remain in business for years to come! Cheers.
