It’s a decent place to eat. The food was very nice, fair portions. The price is a bit high but understandable because it’s downtown Chicago, I would say it’s nothing special. Service was quite slow and it was hard to get their attention but they had great attitude. The tables are small and not very comfortable. I would say the Pink Lady roll was the highlight of what we ordered.

Came here for a quick lunch on weekdays. The fried chicken was good. The miso soup was standard. I ordered the lunch set with two rolls, and it’s just okay. However, I ordered delivery from them before, and their other rolls in general were pretty good. Overall, it’s a standard sushi/roll place that you can come for a quick lunch in the loop.

Amazing sushi, sashimi and gyoza. One of the best asian restaurants in Chicago and the location is great with impeccable service. Prices are very good and i would definitely recommend this place to other food lovers

My wife and I got the Chirashi Don and Sake Don. It was some of the best salmon and variety of fish we've had, and we've been to both coasts to get sushi multiple times so that's saying something! House salad was great value. Alaskan roll had great fish to rice ratio. Overall really impressed and will definitely make this our sushi spot when we're in the area before a trip to the CSO.

Starving for sushi! This place was in the right spot at the right time and I'm glad I found it. Stopped in after a walk thru Maggie Daley Park. I wanted something quick & light n sushi is perfect for that!
I had a beef Negimaki and an Angel Roll. Both were delicious in every bite. Wait staff is extremely nice and attentive. Bathrooms were clean and inviting. Great place all around!

All I can say is wow!! The service is fast and friendly and amazing! Let's talk about the star of the show! This is the best I ever tasted! The most beautiful! This is a must place to visit when you want the amazing good service! The only small thing that would of given then a 5 star is if they provided to bring and not B.Y.O.B or sitting next to the washroom. The best so far hands down for the location ❤ coming back for sure!

Went here for lunch on a Sunday. Place wasn't busy and we were served a couple of the lunch sushi combos very quickly. I was very impressed by the sushi. It was flavorful and the rolls only had a thin layer of rice which I prefer. I also had a side of spicy mayo that had good flavor. The staff were also friendly and attentive. I plan to go back before returning home. Edit. I did return before going home and added a couple of pictures.

Went to Chicago for the first time and had to ask a local where the best sushi spot was. They recommended Ryo Sushi and I have to say...what a great suggestion.
I had the Mango California and Godzilla roll. Who would’ve thought mango would taste good on sushi? I was pleasantly surprised. It was nice and refreshing - went really well with the Godzilla roll I got. That was the complete opposite with fried spicy tuna and spicy salmon topped with spicy mayo and eel sauce.

So, I'm here visiting Chicago and I've was craving some sushi. A friend of a friend that was with me suggested we check out Ryo Sushi. The restaurant looks amazing. I was really impressed with the interior design. Service is also really good. The food? ! My God! I had the tiger rolls, and this dish tasted so good. Also had a chance to have a bite of some of my friends orders as well. Can't really remember what the orders were, but that was amazing too. Definitely gonna get some sushi here again before I leave Chicago!

I’m not a sushi snob by any means, and was very disappointed in the quality. We ordered a variety of rolls. The vegetarian rolls were especially awful. The asparagus was tough and didn’t taste fresh, the oshinko roll was mushy and acidic like it was from the bottom of the jar. The sushi was falling apart.
The service was equally as awful. Our server disappeared for 20 minutes while forgetting to bring all of our food. In addition, the server was very unfriendly. I asked if they could make a simple modification to a roll and was told “no” while rolling their eyes.
The decor was nice looking at first, but after sitting for a few, you could see the grime and neglect.
There’s much better sushi in Chicago, amazed this place has such a high rating.

Nice place and the sushi was pretty good. Was expecting a classic two pieces per sushi order (server could have mentions it was one piece per order) and the crab in the roll was imitation but the sushi was fresh and flavorful.

I have waited over 30 minutes for one $15 roll. The group of 5 that came after me were served first and were done with the food when the server came to and said it was going to be another few minutes for my one roll. That roll should have been offered for free as a curtesy. I will not come back even though I love Japanese cuisine and frequent Japanese restaurants on regular basis.

I had the teriyaki chicken and it was very bland, but at least the portion size was large. I paid with a credit card and was very upset to see a $9 tip was added to my $14 bill. (I had even left a cash tip) I tried to call Ryosushi to address the issue and was unfortunately was given the runaround. I ended up contacting my credit card company to address the dispute.
