Geno's East Pizza is literally one of the best of the best Chicago style pizza to every exist. I have visited many restaurants around Chicago and I've never been disappointed. It's pretty expensive, but you get what you paid for, because they are decent sized pizzas that are extremely filling. Most people can only eat 1-2 slices before becoming full. I would definitely recommend anyone to visit Geno's if they wanted to legit Chicago pizza experience.

Decided to give this chain a try for its deep dish pizza. It was a beautiful Monday afternoon so I opted for the patio seating which I had all to myself. Parking is typical Chicago street parking so if you don’t get lucky with free parking in the adjoining neighborhood, there is paid street parking options about a block up the street. Be aware of the street parking sides for cleaning and/or street maintenance. I was greeted promptly when I entered and was given the option of indoors or outdoors seating and opted for outdoors. They have a nice size patio with good shade covering. My waitress was very attentive and even went the extra mile to leave a water pitcher out with me since of course the wait to make the pizza is around 30-40 minutes. Everything was perfect! I opted for the small cheese deep dish with a side of garlic breadsticks. Now that know that this spot is just as good as Giordannas, I’ll go with whichever is closest whenever I’m back in the area.

Service was great right in the door! The waiter was friendly and his service was great the entire visit. He made a good point when we sat down that the deep dish takes 45 min to cook which prompted us to get an appetizer. This was a great decision and I highly recommend it if you are getting deep dish. The pizza was astounding as expected.

Great pizza! Limited space and seating, even with the covid times but service is friendly and helpful, clean place, clean bathrooms.
And you will mostly focus on eating instead of taking pictures

Smaller location. Lakeview location 2801 N Lincoln AV Chicago. Outdoor seating optional warmer season. Original Geno's East has three bars many more seating areas. 162 E Superior St, Chicago, IL 60611. Opened in 1966(near Michigan Ave).

Wonderfully comfortable outside seating combined with that fabulous Gino's East deep dish make this place just perfect, so long as the weather is right.
Make sure to get the sausage on your pizza as it's in Patty form!

Classic Chicago spot for deep dish pizza. There's incredible drink specials ($3 PBRs and $4 well drinks), great sides and salads, and a lot of thin crust pizza options for folks who aren't into deep dish.

The guys here were super with our loud out of town family. . The salads and 4 large pizzas were great . Glad the other place we were going couldn't sit us .

Visiting from Texas and we couldn't pick a better place to eat Chicago's famous deep dish! The owners were great! We came in and were immediately greeted with smiling faces. They offered us water and beer samples as we waited for a clear table, which did not take more then five minutes. The spinach sticks were just amazing. We have never had anything like that. The breading on the spinach and mozzarella sticks we very unique and flavorful. Our server came back to check on us and make sure our glasses were full. The owners came multiple times too. They were interested in how our visit here was going and never stopped smiling. I would recommend it to anyone. I cannot forget about how amazing the pizza is. We ordered a 6 slice deep dish the supreme and what can I say except filling and exceptional! Can't wait to come again on our next vacation to Chicago.

Everything I head about this place is true. They make the quintessential Chicago Style pizza. I'm from Detroit and have had Chicago Style pizza from multiple different restaurants over the years. Thus being said, Gino's East is the best! When I'm in Chicago I make a point to get Gino's East Pizza. They never disappoint and I suspect they never will. More than good food, it is an experience you just have to have. Treat yourself, you wont regret it. Even if it takes a while for your pizza to cook.

A Chicago staple for deep dish! Always one of my go-to pizza spots, never been to this location before. I ordered to be picked up so I didn't eat there, but the people at the desk were very friendly. Cute location too, lots of outdoor seating on a cool corner spot. An absolute must if you're looking for good deep dish.

Service was good and the food was out quickly. The calamari appetizers where really tasty, pizza however wasn’t that good and looked like a sloppy mess. I’ve tried many deep dish from different places but here it looked like a half deep dish with barely any cheese and was uneven some edges where more deep dish others where as deep as a normal hand toss pizza. Overall good but not incredible.

My group was greeted by a professional server who was very polite and friendly! He explained the cook times of the pizza to give a heads up on the cooking times, which was honest and gave us a chance to order breadsticks while we waited for our pizzas. The breadsticks were very good, and weren't overly done. The pizza arrived in the time that was explained when we ordered, and it was worth every minute of waiting. Would highly recommend to everyone

Went here with a group of friends for a bachelor party, and we had a great meal. We all agreed that the spinach filled mozzarella sticks were a shining star that, but the real rock star was Phoebe, our server. Made great recommendations and elevated the experience to 11/10. The Italian beef & pepperoni pizzas were great too

Best pizza I've ever had! The service was great, waiter was very nice and friendly. I highly recommend this place if you are here for a day and can only eat deep dish here once. 2nd to them is Pequod's

Sadly still not as good as NY regular crust pizza.
The deep dish was ok but we felt it wasn’t anything special. When we go back to Chicago we will try again elsewhere.
The breaded chicken over spaghetti was very good.
Efrem Capili
Personally, this is the best deep dish in Chicago. It's the ingredients and the crust. I can't get enough of the crust.

I've been to numerous Gino's numerous times, this one had to be one of the most awful experiences.
The server brought the wrong pizza to my table then took an additional 10mins to bring the right one, it was also cold while the sauce was very bland. The wings could of used a minute more of cooking, lack of server attention, but paying a lot more attention to one table that had only one guest sitting there. The place wasn't even packed to have that kind of experience.
As for someone who works in the industry, it's saddening to see how little servers tend to care for guests.

Terrible service!!!!!! Waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken and another hour and 10 minutes for pizza. People at the table next to us sat down, ordered, received their pizza (same as ours) ate and paid before our pizza arrived. Also, the bacon was burnt.

We come here every time we're in Chicago. Great atmosphere, food and service. Our server, Brian, is the best and always treats us great. Will definitely be back!

XOX! Absolutely the kindest most considerate service we've experienced in years. Pizza was fabulous! My wife had a thin crust I and my son chose deep dish. Both were best restaurant Pizza we've had. One of the owners took time to visit with us and make us feel like family. From Springfield IL and we'll return again when we're in the Windy City again.

The absolute best, hands down! The food was great and the hospitality was top notch.

Tiny place. Beautiful outdoor seating but too cold to enjoy. Sausage patty deep dish rocks the house. Really nice owners too.
David Greve
I could have made this food myself with low end ingredients.
