We had a great time here! We really enjoyed the tenders and the pretzel and Tanner was great in helping us to find drinks we'd like. Highly recommend, especially on game day.

A great Michigan State-themed bar and reliable spot to catch the Detroit Lions game. Our server was one of the best I've ever had in a sports bar setting and made us feel like old friends!

Visiting Chicago to see some family and we wanted to find a spot where we could grab a few drinks. Right off of Rush st we found the Hopsmith. They had plenty of seating and large assortment of beers on draft. The bartender (Joe Charles Kennedy) was friendly and offered recommendations. We ordered the pretzels they were delicious. Hope to come back next time we are in town.

Wanted a quieter place to watch Monday night football last week. Hopsmith was perfect for our needs. We were able to have a conversation while watching the game. Our service was excellent. The nachos were great. The salad was good -- we would have preferred less dressing -- next time I would ask for dressing on the side.
Based on the decor, this location appears to cater to Michigan State fans.

We randomly found this place looking for food and drink after watching the AVP volleyball tourney on oak street beach.
The atmosphere, service and service was on point. Packed bar for the MSU game. While not MSU fans, it was an enjoyable experience.
Tasty, prompt upscale bar food. Our server was attentive and super kind despite being swamped.
I also want to mention Justin Siersma. He deftly took care of a little mixup. Thanks so much!
Prices were fair. Great location. We will be back!

We were here last Saturday and loved it! Bradley was our server and he was awesome from the minute we sat down. He was very busy - but he made sure to communicate that and let us know he'd be with us ASAP, and he was! I love when restaurants are busy, but the server still makes sure to let you know you are seen. We enjoyed our food, drinks and the atmosphere.

Our server was Bradley Alter and he was amazing! He gave great recommendations on food choices (we got the burger, nashville hot wrap, brussel sprouts and gumbo) - all were delicious. We also loved his recommendations for drinks! He even gave us a tour of the bar and the awesome upstairs. We can't wait to come back!

Stopped into Hopsmith for a couple of drinks after seeing their cellar list. There was a great selection of some harder to find beers. Justin helped me find some interesting ones from the cellar. If you're looking to try some interesting beers, this seems like a solid stop.
Their taplist was also large, and my partner enjoyed the two cocktails she ordered.
We did not take the opportunity to try the food.
