Great food, exceptional service! We had a birthday party here and the appetizer sausages were very tasty. I ordered the braised short rib which was soft and savory. Also got the birthday crepe for my friend! Will try their other dishes next time!

I absolutely love this place even though it's my first time going here to get take out in this pandemic time! The stuffed cabbage and schnitzel was delicious and the Romanian holy water is worth trying!

Food was delicious. Was surprised to discover that I like stuffed cabbage, which was very tasty. Service was good. Clearly family owned with the owner coming around to check on you and pour shots in your mouth. Definitely a spot worth checking out.

Spare ribs gulash is something that everyone need to try here, 5 hours slowcooked meat just melts in your mouth with delicious other ingredients. Owner is very hospitable giving you high quality Pálinka . Don't miss it!

I felt like I was walking into my grandparents' house for this first date. It was comfortable and cozy, there were people speaking different Slavic languages, amazing vegetarian fair, and a violinist taking requests! The owner even let me set Saganaki on fire.

Consistantly delicious, hearty and eclectic cuisine combined with friendly service and a homey ambiance always make for a pleasurable experience. Every plate tastes like a home-cooked meal. My favorite dish is the Short Rib Goulash with green beans, pearl onions and gnocchi. I also enjoy the borscht and occasional complimentary slivovitz "baptisms" provided by the owner.

We had driven by this restaurant so many times but finally stopped in tonight. This is a hidden gem. From the second you walk in, you feel a warmth of European atmosphere. The food was delicious but what makes this restaurant a 5 star restaurant is the service. Our waitress was super sweet. The owner made us feel so special from the very second we sat down. From the flaming cheese appetizer, to the board of meats, to the owner "blessing us with holy water" for dessert...Ohmygoodness!! What an experience!! We will for sure be coming back at least once a month and hopefully make it to a Sunday pig roast!! Thank you for such a wonderful Friday night!

Best experience thus far in Chicago! My husband is Romanian and the food was authentic (mama liga to die for)! Hospitality was beyond European standards. I had my 3 year old grandson who was made feel special and happy the whole time! Thank you for all around wonderful experience! Can't wait to come back to Chicago because it will be our go-to place :)

The boss and the employees are extremely welcoming and humble. The boss is funny and he's the only person I'll take sarcasm from lol the place is beautiful and elegant. And the hamburger is to die for. Plus we got to take a shot of "holy water" for free! LGBT FRIENDLY and I would totally recommend it. I felt right at home.

My Aunt came in from California and our family went here yesterday. I had never been to a Romanian 🇷🇴 restaurant before! My mom and Aunt are half Romanian, my sister and I are a fourth and my niece and 19 month old are an eighth. I’m very proud of my Romanian roots and was excited to visit! The owner was hysterical and the food was great. I want to come back when there is live music. 🇷🇴😍😇🍲🥘🍾
