We went early on a Saturday and it was not busy at all. I definitely expected it to be. The food was delicious, hot, and delivered to our table quickly. It was a little chilly even with my jacket but well worth it. :)
Was told a lot of great things about this place for breakfast. The customer service was EXCELLENT! Our waitress Jennifer was very attentive and polite. The atmosphere was clean and inviting. When we first got our food, it was not how at all. However, with some assistance from management, that was fixed quickly. The pancakes were fluffy and the bacon was delicious. The sausage didn’t have an overall good taste. One of the best things about the menu is that they had kombucha! I’m on a kombucha kick and I was really excited to see it on the menu, plus the brand that I love!
It's a great restaurant. If you're going on the weekend definitely make reservations. It's a busy place. They have breakfast and lunch options. They have an amazing coffee selection. They have Pepsi products. The staff is friendly and attentive. I got the countryside skillet with pancakes. It was delicious.
A wonderful, modern-looking breakfast place right next to Ogilvie station. Yolk has a menu full of delicious sounding and looking items. I got the eggs Benedict with the pesto and it hit the spot. Their home-made hot sauce also gave the grits a nice kick to get me ready for a busy day in the city. All the staff were friendly and accommodating my request for toast halfway through eating to mop up the egg yolks. I will need to be back at one of their locations or their test kitchen to see what else this wonderful breakfast chain is cooking up!
I love Yolk. I am both saddened and relieved that there isn't one in my hometown. Breakfast is always delicious here and the staff is very friendly. I love the cheesy grits and just about everything else about this restaurant. The checkout system is also very convenient! Can't wait until I can visit again!
For me, Yolk surpassed the reviews I read. To start, the atmosphere was welcoming, clean, and astecally delightful. Our waitress was informative and very patient, considering we could not decide what to eat. The descruptive menus were also very helpful.
Thanks to Yolk, I'm now a lover of avocado! I had the BLTMS but asked for the avocado on the side. To my surprise, my "side" request was a delicious healthy blend of 🥑 and mayo that I ended up slapping on the sandwich anyway.
To top it off, I enjoyed their signature orange and strawberry juice and 1 lemon blueberry pancake 😋
Nice place for brunch, can get a bit crowded on the weekends but usually there’s a place for one at the bar area. I liked the French toast with berries. Staff is friendly. Happy to return.
Yolk was catering fantastic!!
We had a last minute office celebration and in under 12 hours the team helped to pull off a great breakfast bar for over 40 employees with a variety of French toast flavors, fruits, and toppings. It was a big hit in the office and more unique than just donuts.
Good breakfast, but not great. My husband really enjoyed his (5-egg) California Omelette. I had two-egg combo with eggs over medium. For a place called "Yolk," I expect the over-medium eggs not to have runny whites ~ disappointed.
The "seasoned" potatoes were very bland. Red skins were a little bitter and we couldn't detect seasoning. The "up" side is at least they weren't overly salty.
The pancakes were dark and really dry. I guess that's ok if you slather them with butter and syrup. I don't use either, so the taste wasn't pleasant. Also really tough to cut with knife and fork.
Coffee is their "signature blend," which isn't particularly dark. Juice glasses are teeny.
Meal portions are generous. Our server was very personable, helpful, and efficient. Our order was ready quickly, too.
If we come back, I think we'll try other entrees with different sides.
Great service. Taken to our table immediately, and our server was super attentive, friendly & knowledgeable. The food was a bit bland, potatoes were barely cooked - needed more cooking and seasoning. Pricey for breakfast. $42 for 2 coffees, 2 eggs & sausage, 3 egg scramble with veggies. Bonus was that they offered nondairy milk/cream options.
