First of all let me say I am not a seafood lover! This was a family event and my sons and two of my grandchildren love seafood. The service was great, the staff was friendly. We went on a Sunday and we were seated right away and we parked in front of the restaurant. We were warned that there’s always a long line and parking is a challenge. My seafood eaters ordered the king crab, shrimp and the premium bag. We added corn, potatoes and andouille sausage to our king crab legs and shrimp. Both sons are planning a return!
The food is was fresh and delicious! We had calamari, garlic fries, ultimate eats combo which had lobster tails, oysters, shrimp, crab legs, sausage, corn, and potatoes in garlic butter. It's served in a big plastic bag with minimal fuss.
Everything was good! The food is market priced so the prices are decent.
The ambiance is fantastic and very laid back.
Fast, friendly service as well. And...it's BYOB!
You won't be disappointed!
Love this BYOB spot. Been coming here for years and the quality of food is consistent and delicious. They also have a cute little Photo Booth which is a neat way to remember your visit there. Their menu is mostly seafood, but for the non seafood eaters they do have some fried food and some garlic noodles that are pretty good.
I'm a big seafood lover. Have been to several boil house like this one. This restaurant has its unique style. Their seafood is not too impressed me. The clams were separated when it came to my table. The shrimpa were way too small. They don't provide something for you to put the shells. They don't provide gloves unless you are willing to pay. But overall, I believe it may be the best seafood in Chicago.
Love my experience here! The food was delicious and the sauces taste so yummy. The price is a little bit high but it's the experience that counts I guess.
Messy but worth it!
First off its BYOB but they offer water and soft drinks.
If its your first time here it can seem confusing but the servers will let you know how it works. Pick your seafood (only comes in per pound!) and you can pick whatever and now much you want! Pick your seasoning (maniac is the way to go its definitely the most popular and delicious, just a little kick!!). Add extra spice if your daring enough! It all gets boiled in a bag and served to you as such.
They give you needed utensils but forks and knives aren't something that is automatically given if not asked. Plenty of paper towels around and like another reviewer said they were prepared having 2 sinks in the back! A bib is given to help keep your shirt clean.
When I went they were out of blue crab and crawfish, something everyone wanted to try! Only thing I was disappointed about.
Great seafood (wayy better than Joe's!) and friendly staff. As messy as it is to eat, the restaurant and bathrooms are very clean!
Great, must try experience. The seafood here is so fresh and delicious!!! The place is loud with people, music and sports on tv.
The food is exceptional. The seasoning is great on every piece if food and it always leaves me super full but wanting more next time.
As someone who doesnt love seafood all that much, I was pleasantly surprised. The menu is pretty extensive but the server will explain how it all works. Quite pricey but also accommodates those who don't want seafood with other menu items. Would have 5 stars if service was quicker.
Amazing experience! All you need to eat is a bib (provided) and you own hands! The food is tasty and well prepared. As it was.our first time we order "The Ultimate EAT" and it is a little bit of almost everything inside the bag. I totally recommend! Staff is very friendly and polite. Will be back soon.
Had a blast eating here. A friend brought me for my Birthday and I loved it. Hate that you only get half a corn or 2 or 2 potatoes when ordered. Andouille sausage was clutch with the seafood. now I habe to take my Girlfriend here lol
A different endearing dinning experience; big plastic bibs, big paper towels, eating with your hands, eating from a bag instead of plates, e.t.c. We had the "ultimate feast" which was a great tasty value for all the seafood variety we ate. The place was very informal, sometimes a bit too informal, but endearing.
