This is a wonderful brunch spot in Ravenswood. So wonderful, that if you're coming on the weekend, you should make a reservation because it gets crowded quickly. We got lucky by arriving at 11:15 am on Sunday and got a table for two by the window. I ordered the Denver omelet with toast and hash browns that also came with a small side salad. It was tasty, filling, and probably healthier than what I would normally order. The table next to us had some chocolatey french toast or pancakes, they looked gooey and delicious, but I was quite pleased with my own selection. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood.
First time here. Got free parking on the street in front. Loved the food and service. I had the Ravenswood Skillet, it was very filling. The chorizo could have been tastier. I wouldn’t say the place is cheap but the food is worth it. Definitely coming back.
Nothing to complain about, your average breakfast place with standard fare. Free parking. The sugar and cream is in packets which is wasteful and annoying!
If I could give them more stars, I would! The vibe is casual but adorable (even fresh flowers on the table)! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. But the food!!!!!!! There were 5 of us in our group. We all got something different, and every plate was absolutely delicious! I mean it! DELICIOUS! BEST pancakes in town!!! (I only got pics of 3 of the plates, sorry!) This was, by FAR, the best brunch food we had on our trip to Chicago! (And we did brunch every day someplace new.) Check it out! But check their days/hours before heading out! Wish I had one at home!!
Recently moved a few doors down from this place we're delighted to have a great breakfast place a few steps away. The service was prompt and friendly. We had a couple seasonal specials on our first visit, a pumpkin spiced ricotta french toast, and a corned beef Benedict. The eggs were poached perfectly on the Benedict, with perfect portions. French toast had great flavor that wasn't overpowering like a lot of pumpkin spiced items. We'll be back regularly.
This is an absolutely darling breakfast place with delicious food. I had a breakfast scramble with chorizo and my friends enjoyed their pancakes, eggs, and bacon. The menu had a diverse range of breakfast options like Thai eggs and chilaquiles in addition to the more traditional fair. I highly recommend a breakfast or brunch here.
RBH’s breakfast is outstanding! Just had the Cancun Omelette with potatoes, chicken sausage and coffee. Everything was perfectly cook and delicious. The coffee was excellent as well. I look forward to coming back to try other items on the menu.
Overall good experiences over two visits.
Eggs are good but I believe it’s hard to screw them up except in palmettes. Potatoes seem fresh to me, but keep in mind you must salt to your desire. Both Rye and Sourdough toasts are great - I prefer the rye!
My Cancun oamlette was great
Thai eggs were not as good since too sweet…so not for everyone. Not really Thai either
Bacon is a bit weird …very dry
Coffee is great. You can see the new maker they installed.
Wife had Eggs Benedict last time - they were fantastic, but not a usually menu item only available as a special.
Great, Cody place to visit. They do take reasonable COVID risk mitigation actions.
Have been going to RBH for almost two years now and I’m always so impressed with the quality of food and service provided here! The omelettes are delicious and huge! The French toast and pancakes are also so tasty. The food is made super quickly and all of the staff of very friendly and helpful. I have never had a bad meal here and I’m so happy they’re my local breakfast spot for weekend dining.
Superb breakfast. Great service. A pleasant experience.
