So it’s been a few years but always considered Mastros as my top steak house choice, Chicago and Scottsdale. One main draw was the steak on a sizzling hot plate (not Ruth Chris style). I called ahead since it’s been a few years and was assured, yes we still do that.
The bone in rib eye was cooked to perfection. The sides were excellent as was the martini. Would I come back, oh yeah. But it’s getting 4* mainly due to the hot plate presentation - personal preference. Btw, it’s def also $$$$. Omar service was excellent!

We ate here in a large group and service was a little slow, but it was a very busy night. Venue is beautiful, and staff were friendly, place is dimly lit and romantic feeling. It was easy to get a reservation. We got scallops, lobster Mac and cheese, mastro bread basket and ahi tuna for appetizers which were all excellent. The whiskey selection was better than expected and my Whistle Pig Black Prince made the evening even better. Without question, the 10oz A5 Miyazaki Wagyu was the highlight of the night, and was like a flavor bomb in my mouth, exploding with umami. 5/5, no, 10/5, it was amazing. I highly recommend it. Oh, and we sat next to the pianist who was both beautiful and a wonderful singer which just made everything too notch for sure.

Went for my wife's birthday at 9:15pm and had an amazing time. Even arriving near closing time the place was busy but we never waited too long for anything. All of the food was cooked perfectly with my rack of lamb being the best I've ever tried. Very cool atmosphere and just overall amazing experience. Will definitely head there again the next time we're in the area.

Omar our server was out standing and very attentive to needs. This was my 1st time there and I guarantee it won't be my last. Young lady who gave us live entertainment somebody give this woman a contract. To the entire staff I give you 5+ ✨️

Food was excellent as ever, appetizer seafood tower is literally a meal by itself, chef cut ribeye came out juicy and tender, side dishes was excellent as well. Dessert was great, not too sweet, just perfect. Live music make the evening dinner even better.

The food was delicious. The waiter was busy because they had a large party that night. The piano room is very dark. I'm used to the other side. The young black woman playing the piano was great. Hope to come back soon.

Our Waiter Omar Garcia was outstanding. He truly rolled out the red carpet for me and my client. He was informative, helpful and made fantastic recommendations. He genuinely enjoys what he does and brought a very positive energy to the dining experience.
The food was excellent. The best Pork Chop I have ever eaten and the Brandy Apple Pecan Sauce took that meat to another level. The 8 oz Filet was also delicious. It was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The Truffle Butter really kicked it up a notch as well.
As for dessert, Omar was very kind and treated us to two desserts on the house. The New York Style Cheesecake was really good. However the Butter Cake with the Vanilla Ice Cream was the real winner. It was freaking awesome!
After dinner, we headed to the bar area where there was a very talented young musician performing on the piano. We enjoyed finishing our wine listening to nice music. What a great way to end the night!
This is definitely a winner and a special place. Worth the money.

High end place with the best steaks in the Chicago area. Also the seafood is fresh and they have a large variety of oisters. We ordered the seafood tower and everyone enjoyed the freshness.
Thery have 2 items you must try of you come to this place, Lobster Mac and cheese and the it signature Butter cake with ice-cream

Came down for restaurant week. It was just ok.. The service was super slow, too loud and crazy.. the gratuity was already added on the bill ( tasteless) but it was my third time there the other two times were perfect so I’m not gonna give up on them because of restaurant week. Matter fact I’ll avoid coming on Fridays and Saturdays too.. if you haven’t been.. please go your in for a treat.. but avoid obvious days like Valentine’s Day/ sweetest day, Fridays ,Saturdays and restaurant week other than that you’ll be fine.

Perfect restaurant for a romantic evening or special occasion! Dim lighting, white tablecloths, live pianist, and simple decor. The wait staff were dressed in suits and bow ties which was also a nice touch. For dinner, I had a Pomegranate martini, Dream Berry martini, Shrimp Cocktail, Chilean Seabass, Lobster Mashed Potatoes, sautéed Broccoli florets, and the famous Mastro’s Butter Cake. Although the Seabass was encrusted with herbs, spices, and Parmesan cheese, the fish was quite bland. Otherwise, everything else was absolutely delicious, especially the Lobster Mashed Potatoes. I would recommend for a nice evening out on the town, definitely worth a try!

Mastro’s provides a great atmosphere and high quality food. The steak was to the point and seasoned perfectly…absolutely delicious!
Also the staff is very friendly, attentive and courteous. The whole evening was accompanied by a piano player 😊

Went here a couple times - my first for Valentine’s Day and another for a birthday. The steak and the warm butter cake are a must-try. Excellent service and food. Great dining atmosphere and live music in the evenings.

Had the best steak I have ever tasted. Wagyu ribeye (they were out of tomahawks somehow) and i swear to God herself, you didn't have to chew it because the meat melted, yes you read that correctly, melted in my mouth. Sides were good. Scallops are gross no matter who makes them so that's a wash. Service was great
Maybe this is nitpicking, and I'm aware they cant really pick and choose their clientele, but as we were eating our party noticed that there seemed to be a lot of... how to put it... persons whom were dressed in an attire which would imply that spending time with them would cost a certain dollar amount. Nailed it. Not career shaming (yes I am), but it makes it really uncomfortable to celebrate a family outing. Enforce your dress code.

Ate at the bar for mother's day. Definitely get reservations. Sometimes you can dine at the bar and sometimes not so check at the desk. Things will vary as COVID goes up and down I'm sure. Great service, drinks, and food. If you're ordering dessert, get the order in so you can have it or take it to go as they're pretty popular. Live singer during dinner was great. It's pretty dark so use a light source to view the menu. Menu was recently revamped as well as the spirits menu.

I don’t think I could ever leave here disappointed. Service and food are always amazing and everything cooked perfectly (which is hard to come by ordering a steak R+ and having it come out on a piping hot plate still sizzling and not over cooking!) Even though the server forgot one of our appetizers we really didn’t need it and enjoyed every bit of the meal.

Pacing was perfect. The music was really out of this world spectacular. Mike Mentz is a gem of a musician and performer! Mastro’s should do everything they can to keep him around cause he’s one talented dude! We also enjoyed the incredible talents of Serena and Gene! Wow! Beautiful trio. Thank you for a magical night.

I went to dinner here with three of my friends and we really had a nice time. The service was impeccable, in my opinion, and the food was even better. I had the bone in ribeye, lobster mac & cheese, creamed spinach, green beans with almonds and garlic mashed potatoes. The sides are very large, so we all shared. I also had a cocktail which was Tito’s and cranberry juice, plus I took the warm butter cake home. It was delicious! I will be back!

Love the place , the staff, the service. We are in love iwith Parker, he makes us feel special and love how he connects with his customers . It Is my favorite place to bring clients and you guys always deliver!!! We were there 3 tines this week , one was not planned , but we walked out of Capital Grill Downtown for poor customer service ,rude and probably the manager was a racist thought because of our color we were not worth making happy . We ended up in your restaurant and we were made to feel like we matter. Kim was great, we had a great time ( hope I got the name right she is pregnant with twins) Need I say more I give you all 10 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ You know how to treat your customers . My daughter and I decided to dine here after a great night at the theatre, But never did we expect such great experience, We knew coming in that it was going to be a pleasant splurge but it was soo worth it , Omar our server was beyond helpful and pleasant as well as professional, Being that it was our first time here he went over some popular items as well as a nice description about their steaks .Yes our dinner was pricey but that was expected ,My Ribeye was phenomenal,My daughters fish was cooked to perfection with our sides being their signature mash pots and gnochii , it was all delish . We finished our dinner with their signature dessert the butter cake that was to die for ... Omar also brought us a chocolate cake for bday desert , All Amazing , Great Dinner,Great Service ,will definitely be returning �

My fiancé took me here for Nye everything was going great but once our food came my salmon was tasteless barks hot also my fiancé steak was well done and he asks medium well they took the food back but after waiting almost a hour everything was finally great we still enjoyed ourselves with the music and great drinks ☺️
