The food was top notch, ambience � and live band put the cherry on top. I highly recommend this place if you want to eat good food.
AMAZING! Discovered the restaurant driving past one weekend afternoon. SO glad we came back to eat. The food and staff is amazing! Set in a proper home, it’s inviting with a hip cozy vibe. I’m planning to bring my family when they come to visit. Located in the historic fourth ward, you can check out the homes in the neighborhood before or after dinner. Make it a point to drop in - you’ll love it!
This was our first visit to Poplar Tapas Wine & Spirits tonight! It was located in a quaint neighborhood in Charlotte. It had street parking, which we didn't have any trouble finding a spot. It had great outdoor seating with live music starting around 7 pm. The staff was very friendly and took exceptional care of us. The inside is very charming and the food was outstanding! Love that they did not over feed you.... the plates were just the right size portions. Would definitely highly recommend this place for dinner! We will be back for sure!
It is a very good place, the food is delicious, I ordered the Andean chicken dish and my boyfriend ordered the garlic shrimp, everything was very delicious and they have a wide variety of food and also vegetarian food, the drinks are very delicious, they have a list of special drinks every month, something very creative. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cool, very classic and the waiters are very attentive. in general everything was very good.

Delicious food and excellent service! The patio is beautiful and the building is a gorgeous historic spot. I had the arugula y pera salad and the maracuya pork belly as well as the passionfruit mousse (as you can tell, I like passionfruit).
We had a really great experience here on 9/17. This place is so charming, in an old Victorian house. The patio dining is romantic and beautiful. Our server, Jenny, couldn’t have been better. She was prompt, attentive, and so friendly…. A hard find today! The food was delicious and full of flavor, not salt. We will be back!
Walking in the neighborhood and found this place.. I love all decorations and Fernando are very friendly , Drink very reasonable price 🍷. Definitely come back again pretty soon
Such a hidden gem in the fourth ward. Love the outdoor patio (though there’s not much shade during the late afternoon as summer sets in). The inside is wonderful — the bar is to the left after you walk in and has a great ambiance for grabbing a drink and unwinding. The dining space feels like you are in someone’s home, a great atmosphere for catching up with friends. Street parking is usually easy to find and there are meters on Church, which is only a two block walk. Just make sure you read all the posted signed! The arugula salad is delicious as is the avocado appetizer is nice, too. Definitely worth visiting.
The location and ambiance is fantastic. Food is boring for an upscale location. They could do way better. Our server was FANTASTIC
Excellent local restaurant! Food and drinks are always amazing and the atmosphere is super relaxed, one of our favorite places for a date night! Check out their monthly event night!! Went recently for their Argentina night with some excellent salsa dancers and themed food with wine pairings! Highly recommended!
Would rate it more of a 3.5... just based on drinks and a shared appetizer. It was walking distance to where we were staying… was busy on a Thursday afternoon. Has nice outdoor seating. I had a glass of wine and hubby had an old fashion of which he describes as “average”, nothing special. Wine selection by the glass is minimal. We split the CHAMPIÑONES CON QUINOA - baked mushroom with quinoa which was tasty. Inside decor is kind of dark. Worth visiting.
