Hands down one of the best donut places I’ve tried. Their donuts are made fresh every time. It’s not mass produced. It is warm and moist and definitely worth the try. If you are in Charlotte or visiting, this is a must stop to satisfy your sweet tooth. Every bite is worth the calorie. Their coffee is too sweet though, so i’d say ill pass on that. They have a parking lot and a couple of benches to enjoy your fresh doughnuts. Overall, I would highly recommend this place.
Only one word I can truly describe this place, Incredible... Their customer service was on-point. The cashier gave me detail on what they had and what they had exclusively during each day of the week. I had ordered the plain, vanilla icing, honey glaze & their exclusive banana pudding donuts. Sadly enough, I did not take a picture of those sweet donuts. But I will say this, they were freshly batched all warm. When I took a bite onto each donut, the flavor was unspeakably marvelous, the sweetness was on point, the flavor was balanced, and most of all, the crispness was right on the dot. I will surely come back here for the next cheat day ;)
Update: 9/4/23
- Came back as I said I would. Here is the photo of the donuts I had, while again, were the banana pudding donut, the vanilla icing donut, the honey glaze, and the plain donut.
The seasonal doughnut, Caramel Popcorn is wonderful! The doughnut has a delightfully crunchy bottom exterior and is covered in a beautifully gooey caramel icing, topped with caramel popcorn. It’s surprisingly not too sweet and deliciously satisfying.
These donuts were incredible! Freshly made to order. They only have limited flavors which I personally love. They are super light and fluffy and delicious. It’s a small hole in the wall kind of place!
A literal hole in the wall and it was oh, so good. It might be the best doughnut I’ve ever had. With an amazingly helpful staff, Reigning forms, fries, and tops the donuts right on order ensuring the freshest pastry you’ll find anywhere nearby. The doughnuts themselves are perfectly fluffy and decadent without an over reliance on unnatural sugars. I recommend the Cinnamon Sugar or the Maple Bacon but, frankly, any of their doughnuts would be a great choice. I’m excited to go back the next time I’m in NoDa.
Definitely a must try when visiting Charlotte. We kept it simple, mostly because we were full from dinner and I wish we would've just gone all in instead. We had vanilla icing with sprinkles, it tasted freshly made. Like straight from the oven, right into your hands. It was delicious. I even left some and had it as a midnight snack. Despite the heating instructions provided on the box, I had it cold and it was still delicious, not stale at all. It's a short walk from the train/light rail station. Note it only has evening hours. Like I said I wish I would have tried more. 🍩👍
Stopped here on a whim last weekend as we saw a small crowd outside what looked like a small hole in the wall. Walking over we saw a special board with a Mojito donut that we just knew we had to try. Their donuts are made to order and what an absolute treat they are!
This place is such a cute little place to visit, and the person working there was very nice. We ate 2 donuts right there, and took 2 back to our Airbnb to have for breakfast before heading to the airport the next day. They were just as good in the morning. The donuts they had that day were a little boring, but I follow their Instagram now, and it looks like they make some amazing things! Would definitely go back if I ever find myself in Charlotte again.
Making magic in each bite through donuts. As, we parked the car we were hypnosis from donut cloud smell that seeped through the pipes as we walked up to place our order. Dang! Oh my.
The lady aka Ms. Mathews cause I totally forgot to ask her name she was eager to help and very patient as we decided what to order. After, I asked a thousand questions about the how is. We ordered the apple, and seasonal eggnog donuts. When you see that golden layer on anything baked you know it's a treat you been craving. (Apple donut) Let me just say that bite was a thick soft crunch that reminded me of a funnel cake from the carnival gushing with your famous grandma apple pie taste. The eggnog was a hint of good glory not to much just right.
Oh, I can't forget about the peppermint hot chocolate she took her time with lots of love making it on this cold day. Everything was just right! Yall can thank me later
