This was a first time visit for us. The staff was absolutely wonderful. They were friendly, attentive, and just pleasant to be around. The holiday drink specials were delicious! The red Curry and Lad Nah was fantastic. We got the Lad Nah in a heat level 3 which was all of that. The Curry had just the right amount of heat. Summer rolls were fresh and crisp! We got 2 meals from each entrée which was very tasty for lunch the next day. Would definitely return! Food was prompt and HOT! We had no issues parking on the street at 6. Definitely return!
Visited for the first time today after looking forward to it for a long while. Did not Disappoint!! We had spring rolls and chicken cheese rolls and they were crispy and perfect. Bang bang shrimp was decent. The curries were perfection.
Want to recognize the staff for being super nice. They were super nice!! I was clumsy and spilled curry all over my son. They were just so pleasant about it. They just helped clean up the place and helped my son with a towel to clean up too. I apologized a LOT - i was quite embarrassed :(
Place met and exceeded my expectations - this is going to be a highly recommended place from me and frequently visited as well!!
I went kind of plain and got chicken fried rice. I have never had Thai food before but I honestly really enjoyed it. Their menu mentions to go down a spice level, definitely do that!! The rice was cooked to perfection and it comes with a little bowl of cilantro lime sauce on the side, and it mixes perfectly with the bowl's seasoning. I will say the chicken itself was a little dry, but other than that I enjoyed it. If you like Thai food I would definitely go here!
Amazing! Kinda pricey but some of the best Thai I've had in Charlotte! Get the Thai beef jerky appetizer!
The portion sizes are large so I would recommend sharing a dish with your loved ones. The crispy pad Thai wasn't that great so just go with the regular one. The space is a bit cramped as well and we went on new year's eve so it felt more tight. Make sure you get your reservation well in advance to avoid the rush.
The food :
My wife and I ate the Kao Soy Chicken. We had no complaints. The curry was wonderful ! It’s clear this restaurant knows how to make a good curry dish so we will definitely seek out this location in the future.
Music :
one of my biggest issues with the location was the music. It was non stop hip hop with cursing. It’s not my taste and it felt out of place. For the reason if I return it will be to order out , not to dine in.
Customer service :
our waitress was very attentive and kind.
Overall aside from the music and the cooking crew taking their garbage outside through the main dining area we loved the experience.
Waitresses were superb and diligent in waiting my table, had everything we needed in a timely manner, food was mad delicious. I got the basil fried rice sub/chk to shrimp and I got the eel sushi which is soooo good, I thought it tasted more like salmon but my girlfriend says it tasted like a mix of squid and salmon, I say it tasted like salmon more so for a taste reference . But either way it tasted great ♥️Will be going back next weekend !!
First time having Thai food. This place was very good. The staff was very nice (we had my father in law from Spain visiting us, and the waiter spoke both, English and Spanish, so it was easy to communicate with him). The food was good too. We don't like very much spicy food and I don't like cilantro, and thanks to the waiter again, we had a good experience.
So glad to find this hidden gem in Charlotte. We invited two other couples to join us for dinner and everyone left full and happy. This is a small place so you may have to wait for a table but it is worth it. They have very good vegetarian options also.
Update 10/2021 - This was the last restaurant we ate at before Covid made such an impact on all of us. I had a friend visiting from out of town and decided that we need to go get Thai food and this was the the right option for us. The food is a flavor explosion and hit the spot. They do have very limited seating so plan to wait for a table and enjoy some options from their bar.
We've tried so many of the restaurants in South End, but this was one of the few on my list we hadn't been to. We went last night after a happy hour and were very impressed.
It's a very small restaurant, but we were seated right away. The service was very good and our waiter was friendly.
We got there Spicy Basil and the Kao Soy (level 3 spice on both). Both were incredible. The Kao Soy came with a chili oil. I put about half of it in and mixed it up and it added a good amount of spice. The broth was so flavorful. The spicy basil was the perfect amount of spice. I loved that the chicken was more ground and acted kind of like a rice so I didn't really need to add rice to it.
I think this is the best Thai food in Charlotte. It's been flying a little under the radar. I hadn't heard a ton about it, but if you like Thai food, you should definitely check it out!
