Wow. In an area with many Latin American restaurants, this is the best I’ve found.
Had a tamal, pupusa, and plantain empanada. Homemade tortillas.
Everything was fresh and perfect. Great service. Clean. 5 stars across the board.
My only regret is that I’ve been driving past this place for years and waited this long to try it.
The chicken fajita was really tatsy!
It was served very hot as you can see in the pictures and it came with rice, refried beans, salad, hot flour tortillas, and pico de gallo.
They don't skimp on the meat nor the veggies, and it even had 🥦 broccoli in it 😊.
I only gave them ⭐⭐⭐⭐'s because it was a weird smell in there to me, and it wasn't a pleasant smell. Other than that, the food is authentic and tastes good.
The food and service has improved from my last visit. Everything is tasty and the staff is friendly. I recommend trying it out again for those one stars out there. This was morning service.
Great price, service, taste and portions
Great first time experience
We ordered the chicken enchiladas, corn tamales and camarones AL Cilantro and everything looked like the pictures and tasted delicious! Ambiance was casual, & the temperature was perfect! Our waitresses were very nice and Checked on us regularly. Looking forward to my next visit
Great place to get together with friend and eat authentic Salvadoreñas food. I like to get the sea food soup. The plate has 2 tortillas, cilantro, onion and jalapenos. Empanadas and pupusas are so good too.
Food is great, place need to update and the girls need to be in sync with each other.
And need a new A/C it was hot
The r4staurantbis usually very busy, the decor very basic, the food is amazing
Unfortunately no complimentary chips and salsa, however the Mojarra frita and the fajita mixtas are delicious!
Definitely a hidden gem in the Central Ave area as the service was friendly and always came with a smile and the server seemed genuinely excited to find out it was our first time, as she gave multiple recommendations as to what we should try since we had never eaten Salvadoran food before. From the papusas to the house specialties, she was spot on with every suggestion as the food was hot, delicious and full of flavor. So, if you are looking to try something new, I highly recommend you give El Pulgarcito a shot as you won't be disappointed!
