I have been to three Mac’s now, Greenville,SC, Fayetteville,NC, and here on south-west side of Charlotte. None has disappointed! This one in particular has very nice and attentive wait staff, friendly atmosphere, and awesome food! They all have great food, but this one I really like! Since I live in Columbia, SC and do all my shopping in Charlotte, this one will become my go to place for bbq and beer!!
On vacation from New York and my family brought me here for an authentic North Carolina experience. Wasn't totally thrilled with service but the food by far made up for that... was amazing!!! Up until then all the wings I've ever eaten were a lie. By far the BEST wings I've ever bad. Also had the brisket with mac and cheese! Cooked perfect. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Best smoked wings that I have ever had. The smoked buffalo wings were huge, juicy, and had a nice char. Loved the BBQ bean. They were tangy, slightly spicy hot and full of pulled pork. Mac and cheese was thick and super cheesy. I didn't care for the collard greens they were too sweet for me and could have been more tender. But that's more my preference than their quality. So good I came back the next day for a Cuban sandwich.
We had a pleasing BBQ lunch at Mac’s Speed Shop while visiting Charlotte. Burnt ends are always a must when on the menu and these are good ones. The brisket French Dip sandwich with smoked onions was delicious, as well as the tasty Brunswick Stew. The service was real good and friendly. Stop in for some solid BBQ and a drink.
Respectable BBQ with some decent sides. Personally I thought the pulled pork and smoked turkey were the best. Good prices on both those options as well. Hush puppies also good. Good service. Loud and lively.
WOW! 5 STARS! That isn't given too often for me. Not only was service amazing. The food was to die for. Holy cow. That's BBQ. I will no longer be stopping at any other BBQ place ever. A 40 minute drive was so worth it. I don't have a single complaint. The bloody mary was so good. By far the best one I've ever had. And the portions for the prices I think are more than fair. I would pay 25-30% more honestly. Talk about flavor. The BBQ sauces offered at the table are out of this world. I will be back very soon! I have people blowing up my snap chat wondering where we went it looked so good. What a great way to end our perfect Saturday!
I used Uber Eats so I can't speak on the service but the wings were some of the best I've had in a while I ordered 6 honey BBQ and 6 lemon pepper and I was not disappointed at all! They were a good size wing(not small at all)and they had a good smoked taste! The egg rolls were ok. I definitely will be back, next time maybe I'll dine in.
Update:
I rewarmed my leftover egg rolls today and they were actually good as hell! 🤷🏿♂️

This place has all the makings to make a good BBQ joint a GREAT BBQ joint - great sauces (on the table) AMAZING sides & all around great menu. IF YOU LEAVE WITHOUT TRYING THE HUSHPUPPIES YOU WILL BE MAKING A HUGE MISTAKE!!!
Food was good typical Southern comfort BBQ. The pulled pork and brisket was really good. Sides were okay. I would go here again.
The food is great! I had the beef brisket and the ribs and it was top notch! Excellent selection of draft better as well!
We stopped here for lunch on the way back to SC. Convenient to the Premium Outlets, the online reviews were high. We were quickly seated and served sweet tea. The weather was excellent so the doors were open. I got the burnt brisket ends for the appetizer. Very good but a small amount for $15. My wife had the brisket taco which was good. I had 6 smoked wings which were very tasty. Nicole provided excellent service. Massive beer selection. Cool decor.
