I loved the hospitality and loved the tacos. It's not everyday that you can get authenticity. Especially tacos de trompo. True authentic Mexican taquerias are identified by the carving of the meat also known as de trompo. Continue the great work you do
Best tacos around here.... we drive about an hour and a half just for the tacos de trompo...
I hadn't visited in ages, so first of all, I'm glad to say the food is still just as delicious as I remember (but whew, I did not remember the salsa on the Tlaquepaque tacos being quite so spicy - and I *love* spicy). They were incredibly busy during our visit, so we wound up having to wait about thirty minutes between finishing our meals and receiving our check (after asking for it). Not the end of the world, but just be sure to budget a little extra time for your meal.
The best tacos I have ever in the US!
My family is from Monterrey and I can say this place nailed it! Tacos de trompo that taste just like the ones back in Monterrey.
The owner was very kind and attentive. Service was great! Small place but def exceeded expectations.
This was a place I tried on a whim. It was great!
We were greeted immediately by a smiling, friendly, waitress. She proceeded to give us excellent service. The menu was unique, the atmosphere was fun, and the restaurant was super clean. It's a fairly small place, but that makes it feel cozy and comfortable.
Fyi...the guacamole is fantastic and all of the food was so fresh and pleasantly plated! They even have karaoke in the back!

Food is delicious. Their food is as close as it can be from Monterrey. The Papa Asada (Steak Potato) is so good. Tacos of course are the best specially Tacos de trompo. The place is always packed so you need to be prepared to wait a couple minutes (be patient) it is worth the wait.
We tried tacos al pastor, tacos de carne asada and quesadillas. Tacos al pastor are not the authentic trompo mexico city tacos but flavor was good and the tortillas too. Their salsa was great. A big plus was the avocado in the quesadillas.
We ordered for take out.
I went with my mom for lunch, was amazing. Very delicious and generous portions. The horchata was also delicious. Love those tacos 🌮😋. Definitely will be going back
Great authentic northern Mexican food. Very daring of them to have the "trompo". I'm used to the tortillas being a bit more cooked, but that's just my taste. Recommend for any taco lover. Watch out for their salsa as they are a above average on the spice scale- their green salsa puts some red ones to shame with its after burn. They don't hold back with the meat on the tacos.
Friendly and prompt service. Our food was good but some of the meat lacked seasoning so I had to dress those tacos up with a lot of sauce. Overall a good experience. There is better in the city.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE I tried real Mexican food with special flavor from Monterrey. The owners are friendly and work in the restaurant, their Tacos al pastor are delicious and some times they offer homemade Tepache which is a pineapple type of drink. KEEP IN MIND This is no upscale restaurant, this is more of a home made family type of place. So if you like to try not only the flavor but also the soul of "regio Montano" food head to Tacos el regio.
Service with a smile! Jeez, we were eating within fifteen minutes or thereabouts. Not fast food... but fast. About as authentic as it gets. Can't say enough good things about it.
